Sadly its gone, A short history in Wikipedia, and some excerpts:

The Burlingame Museum of Pez Memorabilia, located in Burlingame, California, opened in 1995 and was run by Gary and Nancy Doss, who had been collecting Pez dispensers for more than a decade.[1][2]

In 2004, the museum expanded and added the Classic Toy Museum, which featured well-known toys and related memorabilia. Toys on display included Tinker Toys, Erector Sets, Lincoln Logs, Mr. Potato Head, View-Masters, Colorforms, Lego, Play-Doh, Slinkys, and more.[6] Part of the display included the Banned Toys Museum, which featured toys that were recalled or banned for a variety of reasons, such as for safety or appropriateness.

In 2009, the Pez company sued the museum for trademark infringement and demanded all profits from the museum's 14 years in business. [7] [8] The suit was settled out of court in 2010 and museum was allowed to stay open. [9]

The museum permanently closed in July 2019.[10]

I don't see how Pez can claim infringement for display of their product. and they should have been couner sued...

Sadly its gone,
What is wrong with people!? Yeah, let's just squash this little place in California that expresses a cultishly loving and dedicated obsession for collecting our product that couldn't possibly make any serious dent in our books with its meager foot traffic and promotes the fame of our name for free.

Nothing happening in my part of New England this weekend, so I thought I'd post a few items from my late father's shop. I brought these home after Christmas last month, but only just unloaded them from the truck.

1000004909.jpg

The cylinder ridge reamer, cylinder hone and drum brake tool are items I remember from my teenage years when I first caught fire for classic cars and rebuilt the 235 straight six and brakes in my first car, a $200 '60 Bel Air (my avatar). These tools were my Dad's from his early 30s, when he was working on a '55 Chevy pickup. Dad's been gone four years now, but I feel him at my elbow when I see his tools in my garage.

The other tools were more recent acquisitions of his. Dad never bought better than Craftsman quality tools, but several are items I don't have in my inventory, so they are welcome.
Lisle RR-510 ridge reamer
Craftsman 95633 cylinder hone
No-name Japan-made brake drum tool
Hoe Corp pipe wrench
Taiwan-made nut riveter
Fel-Pro MD 9375B small block Chevy exhaust gasket set
Summit Racing 900016-1 dial indicator w/ magnetic mount
Mr Gasket camshaft degree wheel

Yesterday I saw an Altoids box at an estate sale - Shocking it contained... Altoids!

Squez, I think that has to be the most organized yard sale for tools I've ever seen, even Estate sale garage setup don't compare.

Now you really need to watch the documentary

I'm just done burning time on it. Sorry.

Well I finally got on the board for 2024....I met up with BMW and we picked a local/annual swap meet. Not a ton of killer finds this year but none the less some is better than none. BMW had a killer find and I'll let him post about it.

-ww2 canteen- $2...I dont belive it's anything exceptional but for $2 it comes home with me for my son
- Big bin of sockets...$10. bunch of import **** in there but also a bunch of craftsman metric usa which I need for filling out some sets to sell
-Proto Anti slip SAE wrenches. Never used and at $40, I am a buyer. I've been wanting to find these for a while but havent seen the right set. At this price I'm in! I had the missing 3/8....but now I need to find the rest from 13/16 up to 1".
-Plomb 1/4 box with a few of the uncommon 1/4 attachements in it $35. More than what I wanted to pay but I also haven't seen these in the wild before and I'm cheap which means I probably paid a fair price :)
-$2 for the hotwheels for my son
- a few proto/plomb tools from BMW
- weird sk 1/4 gandle with sockets in it

All in all a good day to get out from the house and to attend a swap. I've been jonesing for a swap for a while now so it's nice to get back out there. I'm looking forward to garage sale season coming up. Plus the big swap here in Oregon is in April.

Here is my first contribution to this thread. Not much happening here in north central Massachusetts , but every Sunday there is a flea market in Brookline NH. I found these items today. Not much but the Johnson paste wax is no longer available, so i picked up the 4 used cans of wax for 10 bucks, and the two Starrett books for 5 bucks.

Some small finds- couple Armstrong sockets of sizes I didn’t have in 12 point, a tiny Wilde 7/32” x 13/64” DOE, 6 point wrenches from Thorsen and Craftsman, and a flare nut wrench and service wrench from Proto.

Smoke, $2 for a WWII Canteen and cover is Suckage - Definitely a No Brainer

I picked up this C. Parker 87 combo vise at a last day estate sale. Yesterday it was $75, Today he claimed he'd been asking $50 and offered it at $25. Some damage, and I was hoping it was the Parker version of an Oswego I have that has the support shelf busted off and I could make 1 good out of 2 bad. the Parker is 3-1/2" jaws the Oswego 4". so unlikely. I'll have to dig it out to verify though

Its missing one of the pipe jaws in the D jaw - Slide is not beat, nor is the handle. 108 and 1910 patent dates the Spreadsheet says 47 lbs. I didn't verify. The Oswego is 60

As previously mentioned by my swap meet partner in crime, Smokeshow and I hit the first swap of the season, and here is my haul:
53494682305_4c637a9b78_c.jpg
Two railroad transportation rules books (one from '67, the other '39!), a partial Quickway (I think) socket set, two 13/16" wrenches (Snap-on and Dayton!), a Plomb box, two MT1 drill bits in box, and a rail of 1/4" sockets (P&C, some Duro variety, and Craftsman).

Gotta say, I am really excited to find the Dayton wrench. I have been searching for that one a long time!

Today was clock day. Both work. The Jefferson golden hour clock is worth a bit. Got both for $10. Didn't need another vehicle, but this was too cheap to pass up. 93 Explorer runs and shifts nice. Got him down to $960.

Well I finally got on the board ... for 2023! I've been meaning to post this one for a while; just took a while to get around to it.

I saw an ad on FBMP for a suitcase-style toolbox. It was hard to tellwhat was there because most of the tools had fallen out of their pallets, and were in a big pile in the bottom of the box. I couldn't really see anything I needed, so at $50, I passed.
But it was still there a couple of weeks later, and I'd looked at the poor pictures enough that I was pretty sure it was for some kind of electronics tech and that there was a lot of Xcelite there.
So I went to take a look. The seller explained that a friend had moved away and left this in her house. As soon as I opened the lid the faint smell of puke came wafting out. It didn't bother me one bit, but let's just say I was dealing with a motivated seller! :)

It turns out its a Jensen JTK-87, produced in 1991. I believe this was used by FAA personnel maintaining electronics equipment at airports. A lot of this stuff is surplus to my needs, and some of it is already destined for another home. So if you're looking to, say, fill out a set of nutdrivers, let me know by PM and I may be able to help out.

Here's the box, with three tool pallets.

Here's an overview of the contents:
20240128_134219.jpg

A lot of Xcelite 99 handles and blades (how many Bristol blades does a guy need?, lol):
20240128_133852.jpg

A variety of screwdrivers and nutdrivers:
20240128_133904.jpg

Pliers and odds and ends. The sockets are JS. There's a cool Xcelite knife (Camillus-made), and a Victorinox labeled 'Conoco'. And some mini ratcheting bit drivers:
20240128_133923.jpg

And finally a bunch of soldering and circuit board tools:

The inside inside joke is that we visited the Museum of Pez in Burlingame, CA, in 2012

That's cool! I wasn't aware of a Pez museum so close! Even closer to RTM
To close the loop on Pez's contribution to history, you know eBay was started to help someone sell their Pez collection. Right?

Long distributed myth, or so eBay says.

And here I was thinking the find of the day was the plomb extractors box :) Is the Dayton your find of the day?

Dropped in at an older friend's antique shop, chatted a while and remembered I need a salt shaker at my house. She brought down a box with mostly restaurant style plain ones and though I wanted something more unique/interesting I almost decided to take a set. But then I saw this pepper shaker, and I had to have it! Exactly what I had in mind; vintage, unique and with lots of character! And since I'm going to use it for salt, that's even more quirky 😂😂
And I got it for free since I helped her unload some boxes of trinkets (mostly oil lamps lol) from her truck.IMG_0652.JPG

Thx pfaustus - I'm assuming you meant the Rockwell shaper/router table. I did verify it fits my Porter Cable routers, and I razor bladed the rust off, I'll give a final wipe with phosphoric acid adn clean the painted pars with Grez-off.

I found a manual for it I was surprized its intended to be bolted to a work bench. I expected it to be on a specific table saw series. It has socket for support legs, no mention of that in the manual.

Apparently not rare or valuable. made in Hungary, the head itself has a (c) 1995 to Warner Bros. - Eprey has then posted with (c) 1998 as well, so not even a single run.

Bummer on Taz. My wife found the Pez museum / factory in CT on Memorial Day a few years ago. She went with our younger son, on the way home after a baseball tournament (I had to blast home with my oldest son, who was playing drums in a local parade). They both enjoyed it. I've never been a big fan of Pez, so I don't feel like I missed anything, LOL.

One of my clients gave me a link to her late step dads estate auction for his workshop. It had been going on a month, and I checked it out with one day left and won this awesome ratchet and socket assortment set for $76. Mostly craftsman, G, -V-, -VV-, and =V=. Also some proto, mac, snap on, challenger, apex, wright, armstrong, Bon-e-con, action, cornwell, LC hex bits, husky, napa usa, etc.

I love craftsman usa so this was a big win for me!!
