Hi guys , I’m building my garage this year , then I’ll be building a house later on . My question is what’s easiest way to square my garage to the road ? I’m about 200ft off the road .
I believe you are thinking of Pythagoras.I believe it was 3-6-9 or multipal of them numbers like 6-12-18. 200' chalk line from the road to the proposed
shop, tie it to a pin, go back down the line 6' mark. Go right angle with another chalk line to what ever width you want
From the original pin mark the other line at 12', now measure between the 6' and 12' and where they cross at 18'
would be square. I think????

You can say that again. You could easily use the compass on your phone to make both the same

Why do you want or think it needs to be square to the road.? Especially when you are 200' from it?Hi guys , I’m building my garage this year , then I’ll be building a house later on . My question is what’s easiest way to square my garage to the road ? I’m about 200ft off the road .
True north, or magnetic north?I don't care how the road or landscaping plays out......I will NEVER build anything with a wall square to North, EVER again!
True- the sun does not "see" your local variation ,like a compass would.True north, or magnetic north?
