Works great on Aluminum.
And what is AP?
ah, probably APMech?
I was 60 miles from civilization. Money for cutting oil wasn't an issue, 2 hours to drive there and back was. I had a drill, 2 cans of PB-50 and a snapped off bolt. WD-40 will work just fine as a cutting oil. In a pinch, a fit of laziness or any other reason you might have. What's more important, are using the proper feeds and speeds. Cutting oil will be more helpful than WD, you can pick some up for a couple bucks a can.

any lube is better than no lube at all........

Not sure where to post this, but can you use WD40 as cutting oil?
