Another seemingly impossible find. Anyone have any info on this little oddball? Can't find anything like it for reference!
Upon closer examination I do see a couple welding pock marks around the base of the hammer section which would indicate these were modified. I should check closer on these things before I list! Oh well, still a neat tool though!

Not a combination I would expect to see. I wonder if this would be used for upholstery or leatherwork?
I suppose that's possible, but likely too small and awkward is my guess. I'm of the mind they're jewelers or maybe piano tuners pliers?

1671’s were just basic long nose pliers. Someone modified those.
Possibly true. But if these were modified then they were done extremely professionally with the exact type of steel around the time these were new. Because the patina or oxidation can't be told apart from the pliers. And the craftsmanship being perfect as if made this way. Unless we have every catalog known then the possibility of this being actually made this way is about 50/50

^ there are no guarantees. I have a number of old catalog pages, but wasn't able to find a match among them. ITCL would be your best source.

1671’s were just basic long nose pliers. Someone modified those.
