I ordered some parts for the spray rigs, none of the important parts, just quick disconnects and a couple different spray guns. I was looking over my "supplies" at the Salvage Garage and I had two hose reels from way back, they appear to be the proper hose and wider reels, I would guess they hold more hose. I am also thinking that I will be building a spray rig that will better suit my needs using components from one of the two units, still leaning towards the 12 volt one. I would have two tanks, a larger one for fresh water and a smaller one for the mixed chemicals. Had a long discussion with Jackstand yesterday about the amount of chemical I would need and I think that having 100 gallons is probably a bad idea, I could always add more water, but not having a fresh water tank or water source would mean I have to drag one with me anyways. If I set this up properly I can hold a couple hundred gallons of fresh water, then have a 35 gallon mix tank (or something like that). This would mean I would waste less chemicals and not have to worry about shelf life of the mix. That is the current theory anyways. If I do it properly, I can have two separate pumps and hose reels, one for just water and one for weed killer or other chemical. I would just use a couple deep cycle batteries wired in parallel to get the more capacity, then I can setup a charging cable to charge the batteries while on the road. I think that would give me the best of both worlds, it would not break the bank, and I can sell the gas powered one. I am still working through the thought process, so input or criticism is welcome.
