That wasn't unusual, I have seen screwdrivers, chisels and other tools made from well used files. Many files back in the day were great steel.

It may have if the toolbox was ever in Ky. You never know.

But a S wrench is not a walk in the park to make. And it was made very well.

I've seen a lot of tools made from old files & rasps. Had a folding handle draw knife made from an old file that was a nice piece of work. Wish I still had it.
