It sure looks like it.Is that forged from an old rasp?
Someone needed a wrench more than a rasp. It appears. The older the better. Let's see em. Is this a prime example of a early hand forged opened wrench? it measures 11/16 and 15/16.
That wasn't unusual, I have seen screwdrivers, chisels and other tools made from well used files. Many files back in the day were great steel.Someone needed a wrench more than a rasp. It appears.
The first alligator wrench. Very rare. Worth millions $$$.You guys have it all wrong. It's an alligator wrench!
It may have if the toolbox was ever in Ky. You never know.Did it come from the same toolbox as the ball peen hammer someone posted a few days back?
But a S wrench is not a walk in the park to make. And it was made very well. That wasn't unusual, I have seen screwdrivers, chisels and other tools made from well used files. Many files back in the day were great steel.
That doesn't mean a well qualified smith didn't make it from a file tho.But a S wrench is not a walk in the park to make. And it was made very well.
Yea. I agree. They did stuff like that every day. That doesn't mean a well qualified smith didn't make it from a file tho.
Alligator wrenches have V shaped openings. The first alligator wrench. Very rare. Worth millions $$$.
I've seen a lot of tools made from old files & rasps. Had a folding handle draw knife made from an old file that was a nice piece of work. Wish I still had it.That wasn't unusual, I have seen screwdrivers, chisels and other tools made from well used files. Many files back in the day were great steel.
