Local hardware store purchase, needed for a semi-immediate repair. I had mad sticker shock, then looked online and realized that they were not much less at Lowe's or Amazon. Since when are these worth more than $5, let alone $13???

Of course, I own a set or two of these already, which will undoubtedly reappear within the next week or two...

I thought it was rather corny at first, but it's very nice to keep clipped to my box and I can just pop it open.

A dedicated trim tool is superior, but for small jobs it's very nice.
Yeah it does seem like a novelty item but I used to be a knife nut so it caught my eye. I keep a skin wedge in my back pocket at work & use it for all sorts things through out the day. Don't know if this might be useful to me but I may try one out.

Do you know or can you tell if the clip can be moved to the other end of the handle? It kind of looks like it can. I'm not a fan of tip down.

I would say no. One end is wider than the other. You could maybe mount the clip with just one screw.

I've already got one of these at work but these are on sale at Lowes right now for $25 & comes with a 30pc accessory kit. They use to sell just the RA attchment for $25 normal price (got my prev one for $20 on Amz).

Dewalt has newer models now, also $25 at Lowes right now but for just the RA tool by itself. Got it just in case they decide to stop making this one in favor of the new models. All my cordless tools are MW but I find these Dewalt RA attachments hold up much better with impact use than others. Mine is still working fine.

Wow. I like that it's small, and a true 90 degrees. I have another that's not exactly 90 degrees, which is pretty annoying.

Curious what goodies people bought this week? Met up with my Snapon guy this morning in the field. He was kind enough to bring me some stuff out 😎 got 10-27 4 way flank drive wrenches on 30 mm to replace my worn out craftsman! I got the set of lang 3495 12 piece reversible snap ring pliers. And the air at 5100-a-t air hammer kit with a snap on hammer head bit to replace my old it 119k that has saw better days 😎 will post some reviews in a few weeks once I use them a bit

I didn’t realize there is over 1700 pages of replies!!!!!
Yep of course we here would need a place to show off our purchases, no way many of us can stop buying tools, especially if you spend time here.

I tried to stop & I try often, sometimes I might last a couple weeks, sometimes I may not last even a day. Heck, I posted in that thread again just this morning..... and yesterday!

It's too hard to stop so I just admit I have a problem so it's no longer a problem. :ROFLMAO:

Definitely a conspiracy to buy more tools!!! So far I’m loving most things from Tecton and obviously aircat!! My old 1150 1/2” gun bought in 2016 is still going strong!! I traded of a 2235 ti max I think it was! For it. May have got a bad tool but after being “repaired” twice it left a bad taste in my mouth!!

Any chance you know the height of this drawer? I'm looking at getting a Masterforce 72" box and the drawer I'm hoping to house my wrenches is 2 5/16 high. But I'm wondering if my 32mm wrench will fit in it.

Drawer height is 2-1/2". My 32mm wrench fits but it's very close. Don't think it would work in 2-5/16" unfortunately.

I’m going to eventually bring my 32mm up to Menards and try it, lol.

I wonder on the Masterforce box is there’s enough clearance above the drawer wall and the drawer above to it add just a little bit more…

If not I’ll have to get some tilted larger wrench holders.

This came from AMZ today, saw it in another thread on chasing and cleaning tapped (or through) holes. The "pusher" was someone named @OccupantRJ , even hit me with some Borg mind games. While I have a few of these from MMC they don't have a nice hex shank like these. The handle for using these by hand is also a nice feature. Even a locking groove on the shanks. Heck for like 30 bucks, you know the line..."I had to have them".

Edit: Link...in case you have to have them too....

Have a set of these and they work fantastic. Definitely not worth spending exorbitant amounts on consumables.

Who can guess what this is?

1716477521831.png

It's a magnetic pick-up tool I pieced together from a rubber coated magnetic disc and a gear shift knob I ordered from China. Should be a lot better for finding tiny metal parts in the rug than that much smaller salvaged speaker magnet. Unfortunately it's only magnetic in the outer ring.

A year or so ago a buddy gave me one of these:

Strong magnet, but you can also turn if "off", so to speak. Had to do some quick sewing a few months ago and thanks to the assistance of too many cats, wound up losing a needle, and the carpet wasn't even shaggy. (But the color pattern was made to hide things.) First I tried low-angle bright light in the dark, that didn't work. When I went downstairs and got my magnetic wand, that solved it in about 20 seconds. An authoritative "click" was heard as the needle flew to the tip of the pickup tool.

I started with an AirCat 1375-XL mini 1/2" gun around 13 years ago and after several years with it, I had forgotten it was a "mini." (Not in the salt belt, no huge battles here for most of my jobs.) That was my first AirCat but it certainly wasn't my last! I've been very pleased with everything I've gotten from them and it seems to be a sweet spot of quality vs. price. Thanks, Taiwan! Thanks, GJ!

I have been wanting a good come along for a while. My current one was my Dad’s fence puller. It worked for light stuff, but it didn’t seem made for much more.

Wyeth-Scott 3 ton puller. This thing is a beast! Well over 30 pounds of made in USA cast iron. Looking forward to putting it through a workout.

Can't have too many feeler gauges.
I own 10 tape measures so hopefully I know where one is.
I currently know where one is.
