Here is an online version of the catalog, it may tell you.I collect old engine testing gear. I'm really curious about something. What is that technician on the cover listening to? Is there a description of that unit that tells why it has an headphone connected to it?
Thanks!
Perfect! It says "A sensitive earphone is provided and plugs into the tester for accurately checking the upper and lower point setting on double contact regulators". Ok, that is a new on on me! Not sure how that works, but then I haven't worked on a regulator in a very long time.
No help, but I Found an expired eBay listing that included an XP2006 & 2007, along with your XP2005, they also thought 1930sSnap on XP2005 socket. I have no clue. no date code. logo and mfg style look early 30s. 1/2 dr
Gotta be an early hand reamer. The finish looks simular to the early 30s but it should be hardened steel so who knows if that impacts the look, but I have some just like it. Also the XP part number series is for expanding pilots referenced in the early industrial cats. My guess is either a special order or there's some catalogs out there that will mention all of these mystery tools that keep popping up.Snap on XP2005 socket. That valve adjuster originally had three hex drive sockets with it. I believe it is World War 2 vintage and was specifically for aircraft.Gotta be an early hand reamer. Here's an early no. 21 first one like this I've had. Cool part is that I get to put the sockets on my husky ratchets ha. And some blue point Supremes I picked up![]()

Discarded?my great uncle ran a model T and A repair shop. I have a few tools from him that I could use more info on. First, the Gripper- fortunately I did some looking before I discarded…it came with a t bar labeled snap on and 5 knurled sockets not labeled. Original sockets or not?
