I found this 1967 catalog this morning. I great shape with the supplement
I collect old engine testing gear. I'm really curious about something. What is that technician on the cover listening to? Is there a description of that unit that tells why it has an headphone connected to it?

Thanks!

Here is an online version of the catalog, it may tell you.

Perfect! It says "A sensitive earphone is provided and plugs into the tester for accurately checking the upper and lower point setting on double contact regulators". Ok, that is a new on on me! Not sure how that works, but then I haven't worked on a regulator in a very long time.

Thanks!

No help, but I Found an expired eBay listing that included an XP2006 & 2007, along with your XP2005, they also thought 1930s

Gotta be an early hand reamer. The finish looks simular to the early 30s but it should be hardened steel so who knows if that impacts the look, but I have some just like it. Also the XP part number series is for expanding pilots referenced in the early industrial cats. My guess is either a special order or there's some catalogs out there that will mention all of these mystery tools that keep popping up.

Here's an early no. 21 first one like this I've had. Cool part is that I get to put the sockets on my husky ratchets ha. And some blue point Supremes I picked up20240619_024911.jpg

I have a Snap-on torqometer, it's a TER-6LA 20240330_201815.jpg

I tried looking it up online but can't find anything about,
The snap on catalog doesn't even have this one in it. Just a dash where it's supposed to be.

I believe according to the date on the back is from 198320240330_201832.jpg
It's in great shape and the light works. I just need to send it out to get calibrated before I put it to use. Unfortunately it did not come with a case.

That valve adjuster originally had three hex drive sockets with it. I believe it is World War 2 vintage and was specifically for aircraft.

my great uncle ran a model T and A repair shop. I have a few tools from him that I could use more info on. First, the Gripper- fortunately I did some looking before I discarded…it came with a t bar labeled snap on and 5 knurled sockets not labeled. Original sockets or not?

No mark on these that I can find. Thanks for any illuminating responses! Valuation would be helpful too.

Discarded?

Yes the sockets are original. Those are some nice oldies.

I picked up some impact sockets today. Apparently, the N4046A and B are for railroad air brakes. Those ought to come in handy! :D

The LSIM320A has a wire ring I've never seen before. It has a little bent bit protruding into the socket. I'm guessing that's to hold the nut. (?)

The FV71 was in the same box-o-tools (along with the Thorsen). I like how compact it is.

Here's a little wrench I think from an Allison tool kit

Does anyone know the contents of the kit, would like to see one.
Years ago, I thought this wrench was a 1929.

I can see why, but I think it's part of the part number. I'm curious about the kit as well

As I posted in the garage sale forum I bought these in an online auction. I was hoping to get some help identifying exactly how old this stuff is, thanks in advance!
