Looked in one last place in the shop for a large u bolt. Found it and it will work to mount the spare trailer tire. Added to the tongue so trailer has a spare. Put the all-thread and unistrut away. Done!
Looked at the chain for the car trailer straps, one piece is shorter than the rest. So had to make them alike. Grinder cut the three others to match and then installed hooks and pinned to ratchet mechanism. Put it all with spare parts and gloves into a tool bag, it is very heavy-may break into two smaller bags. Printed and affixed labels. Done!
A friend needed help with a racoon trap, would not fire due to slop in the mechanism. Tossed about ideas and started 3d printing a possible fix.
and then as Ms Kay has taught us, cleaned, flung and put away!

Would you make any changes to the design of your router table?

I'm happy with the design. I would make one change in the execution. The underside box around the router base, allowing the table to be clamped in to the WorkMate:

IMG_5340.jpeg

Needs to be about 1/4” shorter. I used 1x3 and should have ripped it down a bit. The toggle clamp on the base opens and closes, but just barely and it rubs on the box.

I’ll probably fix this later.

Everything else works as needed. Even the secondary depth stops have been useful.

Good to hear. I was just curious.
I always seem to have at least one thing I’d change if I was doing a project a second time.

Mechanicing by braille on the F350 was the order of the day (which, tbf, is a fairly common thing on aircraft)

Located & fixed the source of a bizarre rattle/muffled ringy dingy sound.

Inside the bottom of the front springs is a big nut & an even bigger washer. The nut on the left one wasn't tight. Under the washer is a big rubber doodad. As the nut was loose, the washer would briefly *ding!* against the nut & almost immediately be muffled by the rubber doodad it sat on. Could barely hear it, but it was enough to bug me.
Found it by accident when I had a finger inside the spring coils while under the front of the truck earlier...

Cut the last hinge in to the middle of the large door. Had to extend things to make the cut.

IMG_5341.jpeg

Then cut all of the front round-overs.

IMG_5342.jpeg

Final cleanup of the hinge mortises with a chisel, next I need to work on sanding and finishing these so I can prep them for paint.

Also, reveled in having A/C in the garage. Outside, it was over 90* with a mid 70s dew point. Inside, 80* and 60% humidity. Very comfortable for working on stuff.

Replaced yet another blower motor resistor in wife's Expedition. This is the third one plus a new blower motor under recall a couple of months ago. Not sure if there is a long term fix, but asked her not to run it on MAX or with any vents closed to keep from overloading the motor.

With my Dodges, it's always the blend doors. 30 years' worth. You'd think they'd figure these things out!

Cautiously optimistic after two days with no cold start issue with the Silverado. Looks like the injectors were the problem.

Had I read the reviews, I wouldn't have bought the autozone brand in the first place, but now I’m stuck with them.

When I first replaced them a year ago, I could have gotten AcDelco for not too much more money, now they only sell the AcDelco one injector at a time. That raises the price of the AcDelco kit (injectors, main body, fuel pressure regulator)to $1600 VS $325 for the autozone brand.

O’Rileys only sells the one with a return port, and Advance only sells them piece by piece like AcDelco.

My Dodge has had a couple of resistor packs, but also has melted several inches of wiring harness and completely cooked the connector to the resistor pack.

The blend doors are fine, though one was missing the linkage that connects the door to the servo motor. That is so inaccessible that it has to have been a factory assembly error.

I only buy chemicals and small non-moving bits with the ShittoZone brand. After a string of bizarre melting, deforming, crumbling, flaming, crunching, totally junk alternators, carburetors, distributors, and starters, which, to their credit, they replaced for the entire life of the affected cars, I stopped buying anything of their house brand. It just got old replacing at least one of the afflicted parts roughly every week.

Since AutoZone is the only place I’ve found that still sells the non return line type, you’re not making me feel better Kay.lol

I wonder if I couldn’t buy a kit with the return line port, but then just plug the return port? If this kit fails again, I’ll give it a try.

I would have been happy with this

But this

Come on GF
You had one job to do.
And the whole job was all in the open. No hassles.
Changing alarm visual sensor battery and moving alarms sensors.
A well organized small wrench drawer, tune up kit for what looks like lady parts, grill accessories, and a little screwdriver kit. Add that to a little word salad, and I’m confused..lol

Working on refurbishing the DP table lift... A bit of rust had formed on the hand crank handle, which bothered me...

Tried my first nickel plating job... Very happy with the results... I had it in the solution for 20 minutes @ around 1/2 amp...

Finished results... Sooooo shiny.... I see some pitting that could have been eliminated if I had prepped it beforehand with more buffing...
You learn from your mistakes... Prep is everything...I'll do a better job next time. :dunno: ...
IMG_4036.jpg

Right out of the plating solution... Copper wire shows nickel...
IMG_4035.jpg

Got my 99.6% pure nickel from the jungle site...

I simply meant that my expectations were low. No demands. But in ten seconds she got every screwdriver mixed up. It was an amazing display of talent and skill.
First world problems.
I am blessed. And she loves organization.

Moved the Burg n Dingo. Rolled the PC oven over. Cut steel studs and installed same, to be rails on the bottom to engage the pallet forks. Moved the PC oven. Lowered the lift. Put the Burg and Dingo inside. Hooked up the PC oven, and cooked the plaster pediment mold for several hours at increasing temps. Cleaned, flung, put away. Tested the new screwdriver. Fixed Judy's seized reclaimer drain. Gathered tools for an away mission. Returned with the tools and some sample parts to match tomorrow. Made a vermin screen for the PC oven top vent.

Actually those were just pics from the web. I do not have any of that. I do agree that many dental tools and such can be helpful.
Clamps too. But I am just a bumbler.
I am not strict on structure. But it was amazing how quickly someone could do without thinking what would take me longer to do on purpose.
So I laughed. But had to report this here. To people who would understand.

Medical implements have all the best squeezers, squishers, cutters, clampers, tuggers, pryers, n whatnot. I use them every day.

I did medical research for a long time, including some surgical procedures, and medical instruments are very good. They are made well and there are a lot of specialty tools. The only thing we found was that German made are the best and don’t buy any from Pakistan. Those are cheap. I still have quite a few. Some in my garage and some small scissors, hemostats, and tweezers in with my fishing gear.
