There should be a larger diameter step that the cable hoop fits.
Not always, some do and some don't, I don't recall if it was a manufacturer difference or a difference that occured over the years.
Shoe guide plate, adjuster cable , then the spring from the adjuster side, finally the other spring.

With the cable on the outside it will pop off when the shoes move do to the dual servo action the cable gets slack.

Yesterday - got tired of bumping the tape measures off the shelf over the workbench, so I made a bar to clip them on. Cut and drilled a strip of 16 gauge and tack welded 3/8 hex nuts on the back for spacers. Mounted it on the front of a cabinet door this morning.

Then I cut a piece of 1 x 3 pine, routed the edges, sanded and stained to use for a wall mounted hat rack. Sprayed it with clear laquer this morning. I bought some black hooks to screw to it tomorrow when the clear coat dries.

You’ve got a good spot to mount the tape holder. I like it.

I had the same thing on my pegboard but it seemed awkward to me reaching across the bench to clip the tapes on and off.
I ended up using a piece of aluminum angle to act as tray. Works for me

We have a 2018 Durango and a 2019 Grand Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee had an issue with the A/C under warranty where they had to evacuate and recharge it. Ever since then, the auto start/stop has never shut off. I swear they must have done something and turned it off.

The Durango only gets me a few times, I usually remember to hit the switch.
My daughter bought a 2019 ??? Grand Cherokee. It has problems with the computer system that controls everything. It is a day to day thing if it will start or if she is driving my Ram Diesel. The system makes phone calls without being prompted and even makes groupe calls. If she parks next to a fixed object, the Jeep will not restart. This $60,000 POS is totally unreliable and needs replacement. The Jeep dealer told her that this control center has a 100% failure rate and at the moment there is no fix. This POS has under 40,000 kilometers on the clock. She paid for an extended warranty.
There are a few You Tube fix it videos. The fix does not look all that difficult to a person with an electronics understanding.
I am nearing 79 and I remember the good old daze when Jeep was sinonimus with reliability. My son has a Cherokee Diesel. His jeep spends as much warranty time at the Dealer as it does on the road. We have owned jeeps for decades. This will likely be our last dance with the brand. My kids first cars were Wranglers. Both have gone to new homes and continue to run reliably.
I long for the days when I could wonder out and take my RAM for a drive around the 'hood. Now, I have to check to see if my truck is available. I am retired and the kids have to get to work.

Gonna be a hotrod version? Cause those tires look about 3x as wide as the Austin 7 I remember.
Absolutely, I mocked it up as if it was using MX5 subframes
Should be a fun project! What are you going to power it with?
Cheers! Current plan is a ~1000cc bike engine of some sort, so it's lighter than the original Austin 7 engine/box combo and instead of 7 horsepower makes 150ish :ROFLMAO:

Finished up my pallet racking work benches, I had bought a trailer full of racking and wire decking for $600 when out local bed bath and beyond was closing so I cut up a few of the uprights and made some bench legs, and found a guy selling some 1/8" steel bench tops on CL that were 86" long, spliced the bench tops and added a backsplash with some scrap 4" that was left from lawn edging a coworker had given me. Overall they came out great just have to get the vice mounted.1000005370.jpg.

We started both of ours off with leases.. worked like a try before you buy, because when they were off lease prices were nuts. I had an issue with the transmission in my Durango and thought it might be a dud, but they replaced the valve body and has been great since.
A 100% failure rate and zero fix sounds like a excuse to me. Those also sound like two different problems.
With all that said and these being our 5th and 6th mopars... I would never plunk down $60k on one.

just a quick little shelving bracket install to get lumber off the floor.

plan to swap tires on the cars in the next week or two and check out brake pads before cold comes in. At this time I will put my summer tires over at moms(even though I said last year was to be the last time) but at least then I will bring my table saw over to this garage at the same time.

Fiancee just wants a good set of all around tires so that will eliminate a second set of tires for her but I will keep the black steelies until she gets a newer car.

Dumped some oil into my new 5 gallon waste oil bucket, sooooooooo much easier than pouring it back into the original oil jug. Maybe I’ll spill less now.lol

Put the gas cap back on the generator and closed the bowl drain screw. I like to leave it open for a day after I drain the gas out. Put the generator back into its storage spot.

Wrapped up and put away some ratchet straps.

All is normal in the garage again.
I've had a 5 gallon waste oil bucket forever. Now you just have to try to empty it without spilling. I had to empty mine yesterday, with my screwed up shoulder it was a bit of struggle to get it up on top of the recycle bin at the local dump. Made without spilling though.

cleaned and painted metal frames for our Christmas display, these will replace our current tomato cage trees. A friend bent and welded these up for us. One 10 foot length of metal for each tree, 36 inches tall by 18 inches wide. 12 total trees.

I used my very well ventilated painting booth

Next up is to take all the lights off the tomato cages and then wrap these. Storage will be so much easier with these flat trees!

I’ll try not to fill it all the way, but it has a spout, so I won’t be trying to dump an open 5 gallon bucket. I know I’d spill that all over the place.lol
