For aluminum wire, you'll need a Teflon or UHMW hose liner, regardless.
About $30 and 30 minutes (or less) to replace.
Missed that part.spool guns do not require teflon liners.
Duty cycle is listed as 25% at 180aSomething that grabbed my attention in the video. It stated it’s 50% lighter than other inverter machines. Does some of that mean it’s lacking heat sinks? And if so what’s the duty cycle rating?
But back to your original question. I don’t think it’s a bad idea. For lightweight projects on an occasional basis it makes sense to me.
