What about using this Klutch MIG as a dedicated aluminum welder?

For aluminum wire, you'll need a Teflon or UHMW hose liner, regardless.

About $30 and 30 minutes (or less) to replace.

Something that grabbed my attention in the video. It stated it’s 50% lighter than other inverter machines. Does some of that mean it’s lacking heat sinks? And if so what’s the duty cycle rating?

But back to your original question. I don’t think it’s a bad idea. For lightweight projects on an occasional basis it makes sense to me.

Duty cycle is listed as 25% at 180a

I agree for lighter use only..
Mine showed up yesterday ($300) I will say it has really nice softwre, and complete drive roll set for MS/Flux-core/Aluminum
The spool-gun takes a washer under the tentioner to make it funtion correctly..Minor issue.. The Software has a MS/SS/Self-Shielded
Flux-core/4000 series,5000 series alumimum settings.. The Synergic setting for is spot on for the 4000 alum wire I used
It's shocking just how good it welds aluminum..The display is very bright, and I swear it's laid out like the Esab Rouge migs
out now.. Esab uses the same factory as Klutch has for years.. No all machines, but some of them.. The arc has a similar feel
down low as a Lincoln Powerwave 300 on the #40 setting . It keeps me from setting up my pull gun on my larger inverter
machine.. This thing is a pretty advanced power supply. (IMO)

I thought this thing was sort of a gimmick when it first came out ,but I found it's really a pretty cool little unit
