Hauled a bunch of stuff from garage out to the shop. Reinstalled the deck on the mower to mow up storm debris. Drained fuel from the chainsaws. Mixed up a fresh gallon of premix. Added Stabil to fresh premium fuel.

Opened the latest goody box from Jeff's Happy Jungle. Put away some groceries. Wrangled the big TV, as the latest dose of evil from Crapazon FartTV blew away all my app credentials.

Definitely won’t be an easy rig to steal, not if I start leaving shifters In random spots like front low Rear high (gears will bind up inside The tcase ) or all in low low (1st 2.46-1/reverse 2.18-1, planetary 2.72-1, tcase 2-1, diffs 4.88-1, total 58-65-1 dependent if goin forward or reverse….)

the 4.88s were geared right for the 38s but I left them in for the 42s to have the wheel speed for rock assaults or snow, I hate mud.

next obstacle i cant tackle unless I figure out how to place a 12v window defroster under the dash…..if small enough I think I can make it work with the stock bronco defroster tubes under the dash. Guess I will be running two AGM batteries after all.

This big block 727 will go behind a supercharged 440 Chrysler (512") and it's built for 1500hp which is about the ceiling for these old critters! Bunch of billet steel goodies inside this one.

Worked on finishing up the sewing tabletop and installed it on the adjustable height base. Sanded down the two coats of polyurethane from 220 to OOO. Not worried about shine just smooth.

That table to a sewing machine is like a great outfield table for a tables. Nicely done!

Gonna lay down some black on the inner fenders, then a few coats of clear coat especially on the flat tops.

Buddy is on call this weekend so frame notch welding has been put on hold til maybe one night after work but more likely next weekend.

No biggie. Wiring harness instructions laid out on the welding table next to it, that’s todays fun after clearcoat dries.

Started this yesterday, finished early this morning. Raised my garage door tracks about a foot and reinstalled the opener. Had a little scare while I was getting everything adjusted and it jumped the track on one side. That delayed me a couple hours getting it re-railed and adjusted. Works great now. Still need to shorten the horizontal tracks and trim some of the brackets, but it's basically finished. If my math is good, I should be able to stack both sports cars with the garage door up.

Set up an okra fry station!

Wood stove running in house and its up to 77F and feels great (37F outside)! No sense stinking up the house and running the range hood to deplete this nice heat!

Oh, and I wrapped a smoked pork **** on the fry table and put it in the warming drawer. Was on the smoker for 20+ hours and smells awesome!

Worked on a couple of small projects today. First one was to fix an electrical contact on one of the wife's Dickens village pieces, just a quick solder job so no pictures as it took both hands and my third hand to hold everything in place. Then it was cutting and fiber glassing on the Puma GTC's deck lid. I had to fix an interference issue with the carburetor covers. Still have a little more sanding to get it ready.

Modified a thread holder with some hooks so the wife could hang it.

Got the ladders and Christmas decorations out so we can put them up.

The Christmas house LEDs aren't working again. I want to redo them with better LEDs, but don't have the time or money right now, do I hung the old Christmas lights on the eaves of the house.

We also have 3 older inflatables that aren't blowing up as well as they used to. I went ahead and ordered some new fans for them.

Had two weeks worth of tools rolling around in the truck from a bunch of side work. Finally cleaned them all and put it away. Used my boroscope to try to see if/where the unused floor drain in my garage goes. It's half full of dirt/gunk and couldn't get the camera through enough to see where it goes without plugging up. I gave up before dinner.

Got the mustang officially put away for the winter. I put down the automat so that if I get the garage floor wet from the plow vehicle at least the moisture can find the way to the floor drain and wont get near the car. Overkill probably but it makes me feel better.

We also have 3 older inflatables that aren't blowing up as well as they used to. I went ahead and ordered some new fans for them.

Try tent seam sealer on all the seams of the inflatables. Works great for us.

Rough fit the legs to my butcher block table project, the legs are cut to length but will get one taper on the inside. The "banding" as I call it will get cut to length later once I get the the top flattened and glued up for final dimensions. I cut three dowels for each of the legs for a bond/ connection stronger than glue and flat mating surfaces. Stood them up and balanced the pieces to get a visual of it all coming together. Quite a bit of work ahead of me. I'm searching for stainless steel leveling feet.

Drained the carbs on the motorcycles. Got them moved into winter storage area so I can park my car in garage. Hung a hokey little shelf under another shelf in garage.

Yes you do see 4 shifter handles in that console…..

^^^Look at all those shifter thingies…you will never be able to valet that.

That, and nobody under 45 will steal it…just leave it in 4 low.

I had a Corvette 4 speed in my 47 PU way back, and separated the reverse from the main shifter linkage I would put it in reverse and 4th as a "parking gear", and as an "anti-theft device".

I remember reading that a minor percentage of cars are produced with standard transmissions any more. I also remember talking to my IT litter mates at work, and taking a survey, like 50 years ago. We discovered that roughly 85% of us drove standard cars. Mostly it was the women. Automatics were mostly driven due to health issues. However, as I traversed my career, I collected that data again and again, and it remained about the same. As I retired, I took the last survey. Tied to age, my old school compatriots still drove standards, with a higher percentage than ever. At a certain age point, almost everyone younger drove an automatic. The why was because they seemed to consider a car in general a necessary evil, and expressed no interest in learning to drive a standard. Anyway, the percentage of standard owners was below 50%.

If anyone needs to rewire their vehicle, and American AutoWorks has a specific kit for your vehicle lIke they do for the 66-77 Bronco…..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

starated last night around dinner time…..by time I shut it down around 8:30 most of the engine compartment was rough wired and headlight portions laid out, need to think if I need to do the old bronco upgrade harness or will this kit and LED headlights be all I need. Think I will go with the latter and see how it plays out.

Today will be those headlight portions and run the power wire to the kit from battery.

Anyone else using an industrial power supply for their inflatables?


The PS is a 30 amp. I could run over 50 inflatables off this thing.

Runs way more efficient than the small individual ps the inflatables come with.
