You just can't help yourself can you? Showing off how big your head is....

How do the blades on the last one adjust, or don't they?

Do the top and bottom knives both cut at the same time? Is there overlap on them?

The blades are not adjustable. Yes both top and bottom cut at the same time. They overlap in the center of the head. It should make a decent setup for cutting square edge tenons up to 2.5-2.75" long. Or as a single head running stock material to a specific width.

This was for another forum, but my 3.25hp pc router in the lift next to these heads. They are a bit ridiculous, but were cheaper than my favorite router bit.

Wait till you see the shaft...lol

Just here showing off the shaft. It needs bit more girth and length for those heads in reality.

Dropped my wife's wrangler off at the dealership for a coolent leak under warranty. They sent this pic and a video of the mouse.

Then asked if I could sent them the diagram from the tsb of the issue. Really confident its going to be fixed.. ugh. (Flange bolts were loose, I tightened them, but didn't torque to spec since it's a pita to get in there w/o pulling the hoses.

I'm not sure what I'm laughing more at....the kindness you showed that mouse giving it a warmer home...or the fact a dealership is asking a customer to provide the documentation on a TSB.....wow
I've had to do this before with a brake controller issue with a Toyota...it's amazing what knowledge a dedicated user group has sometimes compared to the factory trained personnel. I also had a similar problem with the same vehicle and a rodent (squirrel) cooking itself on the intake, luckily it did not do any damage.

Wow, that dealership...

You should think about how to prevent any future mice from moving back in...
My Jeep had a high pressure fuel line chewed by a mouse -- the replacement part alone was $600!

Lol, I'm about to sprinkle bait poison all over the engine compartment. Not sure what to think of the tsb issue.

I could see if I really needed to dig to find the information for a relatively uncommon issue. In this case I just Googled leaking coolant wrangler jl and it's literally the first thing that comes up.

To be fair to the tech, I "fixed" it before I bought it in, but I explained what the issue was, and which bolt was loose to the service writer and showed the diagram.

The fact that it took over a full day (it's still at the dealer) for 2 bolts (and a mouse) is slightly concerning.

Get that little ******* out of there before the Prince of Darkness rears its ugly head. :scared:

Yeah, one set up shop in the fan shroud of my ztr, that was fun. Another made a nest in the glove box of my wife's car. I'm starting to think we have a mouse problem. Not sure how you kill all of them outside.

I should just replace the car, jeep and mower with more f150s they all sit next to each other outside and the Ford is only vehicle now that hasn't had a mouse.

Honestly I have no idea how to remove outdoor mice to the point they don't exist in an area. In the 30+ years I've been parking vehicles outside this never happened before.

We had a small problem with pack rats before we were able to store the vehicles in the garage. You'd think the little buggers would chew the nice "loose" wires. Negative! They chose to eat the wires right near the sensors or connectors. That made fixing those wires a grand hassle.

Anyway, what I did was lightly spray the engine compartments with peppermint oil. They don't seem to care for the smell. I also laid down some glue traps. I caught quite a few using those and the oil kept the little bastards out of the engine compartments. I did have to reapply the oil every now and again.

YMMV

If anyone following along ever needs it. I have repaired about 4 cars using these guys and they are awesome. Just take a picture of what you need and email it to them and they will respond with a link to purchase. No need to track it down and figure out if its the right one. Everything comes with pre installed like 9" whips so it's super easy to replace.

You need Sylvester's. Smart ones.

Just started having a mouse problem this year. And I also noticed our feral cats all have seem to disappear. They don't get in the cars yet. But they like my warm shed.

That looks like your sort of fun.
Good luck. 🤞

I’m in the cafe having my lunch, are you having breakfast. 🤣

😆 it's perfect. exposed belts and chains, minimal garding, ineffective dust collection, and notoriously irritating to setup. It's the perfect machine for me. It's also compact and less total hp than my planer so fitting it in the shop and powering it isn't a issue.

One method for getting rid of rodents is to bait snap traps but don't set them right away.
When you see they are regularly taking the bait then set them.
I will use as many as ten traps.
You'll wipeout a colony pretty quickly.

I had a bucket trap outside the garage but got a couple birds somehow.

I've had really good luck with Owltra battery powered electrocuting traps. I don't even have to bait them, just leave them in areas where the mice travel. We have a 23 stall horse barn, so there's no way to get around not having mice. I catch at least one a week and there's never any mess. Turn it off, take the lid off and dump the mouse. Put the lid back on, turn it on and put it back in its spot.

Looking over the moulder (which is still sitting in the bed of my truck) it's in worse shape than I initially thought. It's larger (2x6 not a 2x4)

Which means it's a 10hp motor on the top and bottom heads and not a 5hp like I thought. Looks to have been crashed or tipped over as there are some welding repairs on the top head carrier, and a shim to make it level with the bed.

I'll call it a mixed bag. I wanted a 2x6, but would have preferred one I didn't need to fix.

So can that beast just spit crown moulding or what? It has top, bottom, and side spindle. Geez.

In theory, yes. That's the idea with multi head moulders. Depending on the number of heads you can feed a rough board in one end and get finished moulding out the other.

With a 4 head moulder you need a reasonably flat face on the board and a straight ish edge to start.

I apparently can't read. The side heads motor is 5hp, not 3hp.

The biggest concern is this cracked and welded top head way/mount. It seems sold and the weld is decent but the stress from holding a 10lb 6"x4" cutter spinning at 6k rpm it is a cause for concern

Less of a issue is theis dust chute, it's supposed to have a chip breaker.
