Wait what? I thought all of those were made in a Japanese factory. I just googled it. The AI overview, which is notoriously wrong, said they were all made in a Japanese factory. Ugggg.

I think they are essentially Factory Gear's house brand?
Will test it out and report back. I was able to snag for $95 so couldn’t pass up. Made in Taiwan. Not sure if nowadays Craftsman is Taiwan only or also some China stuff.I'm really curious how you like the set.
I have all the sizes of the overdrive ratchets. I do not have all the sizes of the non overdrive.
My only complaint with them has been the heads seem pretty big but they work pretty well for me. I'm also curious how you like the manual driver. How does it feel in the hand.
Pretty nice score.
It hurts when my local store doesn't have them in stock. One more post of these can’t hurt![]()
Mine either. I got shipped and it showed up fast. Free next day shipIt hurts when my local store doesn't have them in stock.

Wow, great price. Will test it out and report back. I was able to snag for $95 so couldn’t pass up. Made in Taiwan. Not sure if nowadays Craftsman is Taiwan only or also some China stuff.

They are indexed a bit differently (I don’t even notice till the post). They look worse in the picture. I could have took more time to line up the logos. In person they are much closer.I think they are essentially Factory Gear's house brand?
I got to play with a few of those in Osaka and I was impressed with the quality.
Little funky that all the hard handle-ish grips are all indexed differently,
but I still think they will serve you well!
Exactly - most of the tools are made in Taiwan. Many of the pliers seem to be made in Germany. They're mirror chromed to give them a bit of a Snap On look. Though for the money I'd rather buy a Japanese made tool - I thought it was a little curious that Factory Gear's house brand was made outside Japan.I think they are essentially Factory Gear's house brand?

So this one was a bit of a surprise. I posted a picture of my Montezuma 30”x19” box on a giveaway post on the Montezuma Facebook group not even knowing what the prize was. Got a message a couple days later that I had won and this showed up today.
Not really sure what I’ll do with it. It doesn’t really fill a need in my shop or function well enough to keep in the truck. I may gift it to my buddy or one of my nephews. Either way it was cool to win something for once!
It’s been mentioned on GJ at least a few times in the past, that the Deen Tools were made in Taiwan, despite being from a Japanese company.Wait what? That would be a perfect box for the house with basic tools. No need to run to the garage, just walk to the house box.So this one was a bit of a surprise. You are correct... Sadly so. Good for since things, but it confidently States wedding things....As for Google AI, it routinely gives inaccurate information, and is less functional than Google from 15+ years ago.

Who doesn't love a soft box?

I've been shooting stuff like this with improvised continuous lights, natural light or strobes for too long. It's nice to have the right tool for the job!
Strobes are great and highly versatile, but continuous light is WYSIWYG. Much easier. The new ultra-high output, full spectrum, ultra-high CRI lights are a blessing. Using continuous lights used to be torture--they were called "hot lights" for a reason. Anything bright enough to be useful was hot enough to cook your subjects.
No. It's a standard Bowen flange mount and stand.Does GODOX use a proprietary flange? Is it actually cool to the touch. Seems ideal.

True! I never made any money off it though.^Hey, my camera gear is another toolbox!
If it puts money in my pocket, it's a tool.

For some reason, I just find this little box cool.So this one was a bit of a surprise. I posted a picture of my Montezuma 30”x19” box on a giveaway post on the Montezuma Facebook group not even knowing what the prize was. Got a message a couple days later that I had won and this showed up today.

I bought a pair of Sunex 1/4" drive magnetic sockets from Amazon, around $6.50 each.
On the left is the 1/4" socket, made in China.
On the right is the 9/32" socket, made in Taiwan.
The 1/4" socket has a magnet so deeply recessed (4.95mm deep) that it has only a weak hold on a short #10 hex-washer-head sheet metal screw. I am not a fan of the made in China socket. The 9/32" socket has the magnet recessed at a more shallow 3.30mm, same as my Sunex metric sockets in the smaller sizes such as 6mm.

Today I used the made-in-China 1/4" Sunex magnetic socket once, to hold a 1" long hex bit, and the magnet popped out.![]()
“If you have to borrow something twice, buy your own”My co-workers give so much **** for buying Snap-on and tool truck stuff but then they all are over by me borrowing all my tools. It’s starting to get annoying which is saying something cause I’m usually a patient dude willing to lend stuff out. But when I’m constantly getting grief about it but then they are all looking for them in my box, it’s really grating. Major props to my driver, he is a cool dude.
It was also $200... That's like the price of two Snap On 10mm sockets!
