MrsLS & I set up at Jake’s Flea this morning under Venus and a waning crescent moon to sell some more of son-in-law’s discard pile of graphic novels, toy cars, decor. I found a few opportunities to slip away and had mixed results netting bargains.

BEST DEAL was the 3” LSStarrett Co vise - $15. Sometimes people just don’t know what they have. Guy also had a split-tail Parker welded onto a trailer hitch mount and a big Asian import as well, which I think he valued the most.
Small Bonney and Goodell Pratt table vises - $15. Sometimes they do know what they have. Frankly, this was a mistake on my part. I saw two other Bonney vises toward the end of my money that I liked better.
Bonney 3/8dr ratchet. My brain refused to read my phone notes correctly, so now for $10 I have a
fourth T702K for no good reason.
PS&W 5” Steel Screw C-clamp for $4. Wahoo! Only had a 5”
iron screw previously.
Big and very big long-reach landing nets (without tears in the netting) - $2 and $5. A replacement net (if you can find one) is 5-10x that. Now my fishing buddy can stop complaining that we don’t have one, and start complaining that it takes up too much room in the boat.
Shakespeare Alpha 5’ spinning rod with Daiawa reel - $4. (I said yesterday how much I like these rods - I feel like a teen again when I’m using one.)
Three small hammer handles $1ea. His signage said $3ea, but I helped Bob attach a third umbrella (which he said he got at auction for $5 - they retail at $35-45) to his outdoor tables. I would not have paid $3, but I don’t
mind helping Bob out when he needs it.
Box joint linemans pliers - $1. Probably German, by the shape of the cutters. We’ll see.
1954 Craftsman Jointer Shaper and Thickness Planer handbook - $1.
The VHS (which will resolve two disputes if it plays), dictionary, book, binders and sweatshirt were appropriated from our own hoard, but may be sold tomorrow, as we are going back for the bigger Sunday crowd.
