Shed Floor Sealant

Any suggestions on what to put down on a shed floor?

Flooring will be ¾" PT plywood. I'm planning to put down either some dime-pattern rubber tiles, or just lay a roll of it down.

Should I paint it? Seal it? Leave it bare and drop the rubber stuff down?

Shed will store all lawn and garden stuff. Tractors/tools etc.

My shed floor is also 3/4 PT ply.

I had a can of porch and floor paint leftover from something else, so it got 2 coats. A little dirty but holding up fine to mower and generator wheels 2 or 3 years later.

I used grey floor or porch paint. I forget which now.

Don't put the rubber floor down unless you're in a desert area it'll hold moisture.

Yes.

Drips and condensation is going to build up under the rubber, unless you do something vented.

I just kind of like it. Maybe I'll just stick with floor paint.

Yes. I think its the size of them that makes them more susceptible to temperature changes and lack of air movemtent but anything on the floor in a shed that can trap moisture like a bucket or mat or tire always ends up with condensation under it.

In this case, KISS.

If something ever happens with the wood/paint it should be easily noticeable. With my luck I'd put a foot or the mower through my nice rubber floor.

I just left mine bare wood.
It's just a small 16x20 where I have my woodworking tools . No lawn equipment or anything like that.
I was going to paint it with gray floor/porch paint but then thought about it getting scratched up dragging stuff around and then have to paint it again and again...

Been going good for 5 years . Other than looks, paint is not going to protect the floor from parking lawn equipment in it.

I may just throw some water seal on it and call it good. It'll just be strictly storage.

I always paint mine to protect it a bit better from any water and oil from normal use.

I decided to just use Thompson's transparent water seal. Shed is a 14x24, and I used 1 full gallon.

Maybe I'll recoat it every other year. Although I'm not planning on getting the floor wet.
