De-rust first! Always!
Yeah, I thought about that after the fact

De-rust first! Always!

Humidity and condensation have eaten more than a few beetles. If theres moisture under there it’s eating.lolIt’s got some decent holes in the front floor pans. I want to get it under my carport once I get it cleared out. Right now it’s sitting on gravel so not a ton of grass underneath of it luckily.
Oh for sure. I had to buy a cover because this one leaks around the door seals and the water gathers under the back seat. Luckily the cover prevents that.Humidity and condensation have eaten more than a few beetles. If theres moisture under there it’s eating.lol
So it was like one of those celebration confetti poppers....in liquid form! Finally getting back in the garage after as week or so at work.
Cracked open a Diet Dew only to have it explode, spray Dew all over a half way freeze up ..
Yeah, like cheap champagne. So it was like one of those celebration confetti poppers....in liquid form!

Those Black Jack kits are awesome, I have two of them, keep one in each vehicle. Very solid handles.
Story of my life. I the cabin filter takes a few min to change but the engine filter takes maybe 45 seconds tops; but I always put the easiest tasks on the back burner. I'm working on it lol.Engine air filter! I forgot it when I did the tires, plugs and oil change and have kept forgetting it since....
No cabin air filter on my rigs by about two years on the most recent.Story of my life. I the cabin filter takes a few min to change but the engine filter takes maybe 45 seconds tops; but I always put the easiest tasks on the back burner. I'm working on it lol.

Look into replacing it with a carbon filter or something, should be something to help with smells out there.Cabin filter on my truck may stop dust but it sure doesn't do anything for smells. My wife's Subaru on the other hand works great for both.
I like to drive with the windows open so I can relish the smells out there--but I'm a country boy.Look into replacing it with a carbon filter or something, should be something to help with smells out there.
No idea why she won't move
Garbage strike is officially over for us - they picked up the blue recycle bin yesterday and the green waste bin today, plus the two extra barrels of Ivy cuttings I stuck out there. - I power washed both weekly bins for good measure (black garbage bin was Power washed last week post PU)
So once dry we are back on regular schedule this Friday.
I assume you know about the release lever in the back that you pull out in order to manually push the machine around? If it's out it isn't going to respond to the pedal. If it's in verify that it's actually connected to the trans.A few weeks back the JD LA130 rider would not move forward or back. I checked the belt, looked okay. Thought I had a transmission issue as I found a broken bolt and flat washer on the transmission. Dropped the transmission and searched for where the bolt came from. No success. After a break came back out and found it was from long ago. I had replaced a bolt on the deck and this was the original. No idea why she won't move so ordered a new belt. Continued cleaning the trans and mower.
Hot humid weather is great motivation to get stuff picked up, put away, and organized. Your future self with thank you when it cools off enough to feel like bigger projects are possible. Carry on!It's been hot and humid here the last few days (temps in the 80Fs but humidity over 95% so it feels awful), but the garage is in the 70s and 45% so I take any excuse to go putz in the shop. I got a couple of decent wooden stools with cushioned tops for 50 cents each at a sale, so I don't even have to move my seating around anymore. Finally sorting all my Yankee screwdrivers bits and push drill bits into drawers according to size of the screwdrivers, type of bit, and sorting push drill bits according to size and if Yankee or Goodell-Pratt. Sitting on a stool and sorting little stuff is about the height of my ambition this week.
"RTT"?RTT folded up and hoisted onto the trailer

The real question is, how much stuff is in your shopping cart waiting for next month? Or, do you think you'll be able to continue?I am one week away from concluding my No Amazon July personal achievement.
Bezos is probably nervous. He may have to cut down on some vacation plans or yacht purchases without me funding him.
Anyway, it has kinda sucked a few times because there are things I don't know where to buy anywhere else.
Will I make it one more week???
