No back panel or even half panel to support the leg panels?

I'd also add an under top book shelf for rarely needed but important books.
11" back panel at the top. You just can't see it in the Pic. If I made the panel too much wider I'd need another sheet of plywood. At 11" all my pieces fit on 2 sheets. A second 2" brace farther down to keep legs from spreading. Left the area between open to keep from covering outlets.

Nothing wrong with sportsters, I know a bunch of women who had them.
My daughter and I took my 883 to Big Bend on a 4 day trip a few years ago. I think we only did 1700 miles that weekend. The 883 is parked next to my Dyna. Both get riden about the same amount.
Closest I got to owning one was a flathead KR engine. I was going to build a street sleeper but never got to it. Would have been awesome.
I enjoy riding when I can. I've had 4 Harleys since 2003 when I bought the first sporty.

Yesterday was a good day in this shop, did a lot of cleaning and putting away of things, also reorganized my clamp cart.1000236725.jpg

Hung up a new-to-me fire extinguisher sign, so I also relocated the extinguisher as well

Today's plan:
Hang a traffic light
Drill mounting holes in the new extension wings for my table saw
Change the oil/filter in the wife's car and rotate the tires.

Beat the heat and got after it again today. Masked up and sprayed the base coat on the underside of the car.

Let that flash off a bit and moved over to the operating table and got started blocking it out.

Hopefully this week I’ll be able to find time to get sorted on the exterior.

My primary thing has become chasing why no chill air from the Toyota Corolla's AC, I know the clutch is not engaging, the AC fuse is good, the motor increases RPM when the AC is turned on, but the clutch is not engaging. I'm letting it cool off and then I'l see if the compressor is frozen or something? If not I can hopefully get the clutch wire disconnected and test for power. maybe the clutch died?

Same problem here with my '93. I can't get enough hands down there to disconnect the lead to the clutch to test if it's getting juice. Didn't knock myself out trying, as I've never had a rig with working AC, so don't really know what I'm missing (aside from friends who maintain the interior temp at about 45F on a 90F day).

Besides, it's looking a lot like AC season is over here.

AC compressor is not frozen, the wire that should engage the clutch has power when the AC is on, and none when off - all seems normal except the clutch....

Pretty much another day of rest after a crazy summer.

I'm practicing my sign painting skills (which I've never possessed that I know of) to try and redo the 12 on this sign:

54782709906_e28a491b94_o.jpg

to match better, at least height-wise. I was raised in the technical skills and never did get half decent at cursive (I put the curse in cursive) and can barely even read it--especially the idiosyncratic way folks tend to use it. May as well be a secret code to me.

But I did take some calligraphy classes... about fifty years ago.

Usually the gap gets too large from wear between the front plate and the pulley, if you're lucky there will be a shim or 2 you can remove under the plate to close the gap up.

How much gap should it have and can I remove the front plate in place? again; 2007 Corolla.

Update: I'm getting "clicking' when "hot wiring" the clutch, so the electrics theoretically work

Gap seems to be .017 or maybe .018 with stacked feeler gauge. - EDIT - If AI ain't lying again this should be in spec?

Welded the stupid 2-piece floppy handle for the HF press jack that's been annoying me for a while. Welded the mounts on my re-purposed 30 year old Weber Kettle fire pit so it will sit level again, and not fall over with a fire going. That would be bad. Always fun trying to MIG dirty thin rusty metal. Got it done with some torque multipliers aka four letter words. Cleaned up the mess, and drank beer.

14 to 25 thousands, the center bolt in the clutch plate holds it on, the shims are behind the plate, you may also find shims under the bolt any shims you remove from behind you place under the head of the bolt..

Seems to be in spec, and the coil "clicks" when hot wired to the battery for 12V... this thing should be working?

Well,

54787505431_0973971d7e_o.jpg

I don't think the phone will be ringing off the hook with requests for sign painting anytime soon.

But it'll look better than the small, sloppy stencil numbers from the window of a rig, and not all that bad for a older guy with shaky hands and hardware store trim painting brush.

Lets see the 50 foot test...

Yes if it clicks hooked to a hot wire it should work.
You're testing the plug disconnected, try plugging it in and back probing the connector with a pin(borrow one from the wife she won't want it back when your done) press it into the connector next to where the wire goes in until you feel it hitting metal then see if you have power at the pin. Or find the A/C clutch relay in the fuse box and swap it with another, this usually works on Hondas but I haven't seen many if any Toyota A/C relay failures.

Is there a trinary pressure switch in the circuit? Is there refrigerant in the system at a reasonable pressure?

Yesterday and day before - pulled wire from the greenhouse to the garage panel for 2 separate 20 amp outlets for the heaters. Finished running conduit inside the greenhouse and wired up the receptacles. Ran the wire from the LB to the garage panel and stapled it all down. Just need to tie it in to the panel. Removed the old 1/2" conduit and box from the side of the garage and patched the hole. Then grabbed the mower key and mowed front and back. Apparently I only took one photo.

After a short road trip to the coast, I finished connecting the wires from the greenhouse to the garage panel. Then picked up some of the mess I made and put things away. Still need to replace the insulation and OSB wall panels.

Garage got spray foam insulation. I couldn't do a lot after this. Today is "Mrs. Ford Guy"'s birthday so if she's not happy nobody is happy. I'm now ready to get things organized on the shelves and get to work.

You can really tell a difference. Even without the fans running it's not to bad. With the fans running it is pretty cool in there. I can't wait to put it to use.

Possibly the refrigerant got too low and something somewhere is cutting off the clutch. Catch 22 if so as it won't give accurate rafdings id its not compressing...

as to that the clutch coil is no longer clicking when Hot-wired (I was planning to hot wire it to get R134 into it... No go...

I hate trying to find a decent repair place. ...
