Yesterday, I got 2 smaller tarps and replaced the one on the red Sami, (sun took the other one) and today did alder leaf cleanup around the blue Sami so I can replace its tarp.

Also this AM started the "dig out" of the rotted 4X4 post for the front patio fence. all the other posts are good, just this one rotted? :dunno: So now I have a nearly clean 4X4 "hole" then only a couple of scraps of post and roots are left in the corners it I can get the last of that out, and the new post fits, I can simply drop/hammer it in. if not, then I need to bust out the concrete...
I have been replacing rotted wooden posts with steel.

Wood posts usually have a 20 year life, why not be “Once and Done”.

Meanwhile, the seemingly-never-ending table project

54821549173_3828b30099_o.jpg

is gettin' there. That's the forth coat of poly, thinned 1:1 with mineral spirits and rubbed in with a rag. I've been letting each coat dry for a half-day or more, then lightly burnishing with a piece of cardboard--don't recall where I got that idea from, but it's working nicely. I'll burnish it once more tomorrow AM, apply one more coat, burnish and call it good.

Damned glad I hauled it into the warehouse for this. Between showers and dust storms (welcome to the inter-mountain West), the bugs have been really bad today.

Maybe from Noah while you two were removing the worn rudder bushings on the Ark?
Ark used a packing box full of feathers, fur and bee's wax--of which we had a plethora.

Drive was rodents in "hamster wheels". What else are you going to do with over 2,000 pairs of rodents?

Oh, you meant the rudder pintle bushings--well, when we needed to put an ape on a job, we had that covered, too.

And a few more
Medford on sat. Last day in my Outdoor " garage " got my sticker.... about 2000 bucks for the week for that sticker... 270 entries, 30 entries in 3 pedal. I finished 11th not bad in my opinion as I was truly a steeet car vs street legal race cars in front of me. Tons of fun... this winter home projects, next winter it will be a 63 nova build... race car/ street.. boost... low 9s to high 8s will be the goal... these drag and drives are fun..

the stupidly comes in when you include the module in the light itself run 1 power 1 ground and 2 twisted pair network wires and the tail light becomes a $1500(Ford) module
With this info - and one per corner? per light? :wtf: :
Believe it or not, probably yes. Maybe not just a fuse, but a fuse block? Yep.
I'm still on that this is a stupid waste of $$, and built in obsolescence.

I have been replacing rotted wooden posts with steel.

Wood posts usually have a 20 year life, why not be “Once and Done”.

These posts are all 35 years old at least, and only one had a rot out issue. I'l be reusing al the posts, as I rebuild the fence. and reconfigure the gate.

I do have a looong, over 100 ft run of steel post fence, and those are just as old, and on they are on second set of fence boards and rails.

Now the fence with my next door neighbor (corner lot), who over waters, and over fertilizes, I think she would rust out the cyclone fence posts with that recipe... that one is on its third iteration.

My wife and I finished mounting the jerseys, matting them and put them into the large frames I built a week or so ago.

Packaged and ready for my son to ship.

I’m glad this project is finished.
Edit: I have to give my wife the major part of the credit for this project looking as good as it does.

So far I've only seen it in tail lights so 2 lights per, but I've heard some Benz have them in the front lights too.

Got the deer stand cushions and skirting boxes down from the attic. Found a box of trail camera mounting do dads, i did not remember being stored. Looked over the deer feeder motor mount assemblies I hand made decided to order a couple motors to have on hand. Looked them up-discontinued, new style different attachment system. Will purchase the new style and see what I can figure that out.
Fired up the bambu, looked up one of the first files I printed-a set of 5" vise jaws and printed a new set, then out to mow grass/leaves.

@kaymccampbell I thought of trying Linux, but at this time, I'm not interested in learning how to make something else work.

IMG_5831.pngIMG_5827.jpegIMG_5829.jpegI think I can pass this as in my garage, I did have to go into my shop for tools to get some of the tires off the rims and for the compressor hose for paint gun. Made the mistake of trying to paint this with my air canister paint gun (not sure of the real name) but I forgot how little paint it actually spits out, I should have used my Graco airless. Took me about 5 hours to paint, would have been 5 minutes with the Graco. It’s done now, just have to paint the 2 tires for the hat, find some washers and paint them black

My Ubuntu installs usually just go, when it comes to average user things. More knowledge is required for the perversions I put my PC through, but most folks won't try to misuse a PC this way.

The TIPM on those will sense overload or open circuits and shut the circuit down, there are no fuses for these circuits the system relies on sensing power draw and being able to turn it off.

OK, with that thought in mind.

I unplugged the lights....open circuit...lights go off. I plug the stock lights back in (no added lights)....closed circuit...lights are still off. What am I missing here?

Stood back and let the 44 ft depth of (one side of one of) the new garages soak in.

HA!
I did the same thing when I built my 26x48 garage, wondered how I could ever fill it up. Not long after I could barely squeeze between all the vehicles, tools and other stuff. Now I have to navigate between everything in the garage plus all the vehicles parked outside waiting for their turn inside. Be forewarned, it never ends.

Replaced the throttle cable on a MTD garden tractor.

Who knew that you have to scratch off the "turtle to rabbit" throttle sticker to gain access to the torx screws....

There should be a special place in Designer's Hell for people who think it's acceptable to hide fasteners that don't need to be hidden.

Luckily there is the back-up "Garage 2" and the back-up to the back-up. The back 20 x 20 section of "Garage 1" is a suspended slab over "Garage 3" in the back. Ali together they are the area of a 40 x 60. But yes, it's already crowded every time I do a layout.

Reboot the system(cycle the key off and then on).
It will recheck the circuit on start up and if it's good energize it.

Did you get a new sticker so you know fast and slow?
Unfortunately no new sticker.

The sticker is not even shown on the parts list nor a picture looking at the dash showing the screws behind the sticker.

I searched a bit yesterday to try and figure out how to access the damn screws (I thought I had to take the dash off!) and found one vague thread on justanswer (which I hate) which mentioned this. Goggle was most unhelpful with its suggestions (see WTF post).

Fortunately, the turtle and rabbit are still there with vandalism in-between.

This picture from my post yesterday:

54820349832_c37d111ea1_o-jpg.2411085

makes my head hurt. As a photographer, I have trouble understanding what's going on there. That footbridge in the BG? Yeah, it's flat. The lawn doesn't really go in and out of focus.

I'm guessing there were a couple of raindrops on the cell phone camera lens.

I gave the table from hell another buff and another coat this AM. I checked it out fifteen minutes ago and decided the finish had some bumps I didn't like, so I gave it a quick dry-sand w/400 grit WOD, then what I hope is the last coat--for a total of six.

54824021995_74850a2890_o.jpg

Still wet, of course. Reflection is 12' tall pallets of empty, unlabeled (bright) beer cans.

While not doing that, I sharpened a pile of knives--really easy now that I did the heavy work of restoring the edges and took the honing steel away from them (I can sharpen all 11 of the kitchen knives, plus a few thrown in by myself or friends, in fifteen minutes or less now), installed a new cord on a friend's old Makita portable TS,

54822852227_27a38ec80d_o.jpg

line trimmered and mowed most of the lawns....

Now it's beer thirty!

Well not today but last night unloaded the new to me drill press from recent auction. Now have to ponder the work space rearranging to make this fit. But first have to replace a tube in the lawn tractor front tire

Edit. Not sure what is happening with pic. Resized it to well under a meg. Well sometime later as I have lawn mowage to do

Fixed it

I gave up trying to dig the last splinters and roots out a 3-1/2 X 3-1/2" (4x4) concrete "tunnel" 19" deep, and dumped well started coals into the hole. They are still hot 6-7 hours later, but mostly down to hot ash. Maybe cool enough tomorrow to try to vacuum them out...
