I don't necessarily chase newest and greatest, but occasionally come across great discounts, and tools that I never knew existed, that would probably make my life a LOT easier.

Having said that, I ended up buying into the M18 lineup after getting frustrated with older, cheaper battery tools, at the suggestion of someone on a different forum. But, GJ is where I find deals on newer M18 tools!

I've been wanting one of these for a while (haven't pulled the trigger) but this review is fairly comprehensive in case you also have been tempted (no relationship to channel):

note: one of the comments describes going through aliexpress w/a similar landing cost but the bigger gt24 collets which allow larger tapping and gets you a bigger motor.

So, uh, I ended up buying the inch size of these. I have a problem. A different problem is the metric system. I really wish America would go metric. I'm an engineer and I spend so much useless time converting units.

I wish Knipex sold a set of their snap ring plyers. It's one of those tools that if you're doing any kind of mechanical work, you're going to encounter all types of snap rings. I bought the Lang set, but would've gone with Knipex.

They do have a set, I have it. It is great, has everything you would ever need.
I am not where I can get the part number right now, but can check later.

Most of my stuff ships in a 6x9 envelope for almost $5.00. I have free shipping on my item, which also just bit me in the ***. Most people 99.9% I deal with are fine. I just had one two weeks ago i shipped them two different items but contained the same part. I specifically messaged them about it to let them know. Never heard squat , so i shipped them. Now they changed their mind and want a refund. I am now eating the $4.76 on the $17.00 item( total) it took to get it there all because the reason they gave was they "changed their mind". Remember I messaged them and let them know what they were getting so there was no confusion before it shipped and would have changed the order then. If i would have waited any longer I would have created a late shipment. They never messaged me directly when they got them either so I couldn't work with them. They went directly to EBay and then filed a "changed my mind" with EBay.

I dont want to dirty the thread anymore but just a update as I'm pissed. After 21 years selling on ebay this buyer sent back HIS used parts in my original package . I was able to do a 50% refund or else ebay would have deducted the whole thing and sent him a full refund. He commited fraud and there is not **** I can do about it.

The one I own is actually for cutting PVC pipe in tight spaces. But I assume it is the same principle, such as cutting metal conduit in a space you can't get a traditional hacksaw into (it works more like a wood hand saw). That said, for my purposes, an oscillating tool has made it somewhat obsolete. But I'm sure I will encounter a space where only that tool will be effective.

It would probably be a lot of work but that is technically mail fraud so you could try involving the police, if for nothing else, to make the guys life a little more difficult.

It's one of those things that you don't need..until you do.

Like others have said, they're great for cutting things in tight places. I've had a similar one for the last 40 years.

Also, I have one in my scrapyard box since my locals won't let me take cutting utensils in. So far they haven't figured out what it is.

I guess you could do that, I haven't used a hacksaw to cut pvc in 20 years. Now that I think of it, I have several nice hacksaws that I haven't used in a very long time.

Like everyone else said.. it's not a tool I use often, but sometimes you're in a tight spot and it's just the thing. It's like owning S shaped wrenches.

I bought this a few days ago for $7.62 after coupon. It's still a deal at $10.98 if the coupon isn't still available, I might not see it since I already used it. Set your expectation based on your use case. I bought it to swap car batteries without losing settings. I don't think it would be great as a cordless battery maintainer but might be for short term. Home Depot sells it for $29.29
