I wholeheartedly concur. I’d cut ties and go elsewhere right now.
Adjusting the cables is a trivial task that anyone who wants or uses a lift should be able to do.
Any news?Just following up since I started the thread. I ended up ordering a Halo 9k pro lift with a rolling bridge jack. At this point I'm not sure I would recommend them. They were very quick to take my money but then gave me the run around for weeks when I aaked why the invoice didn't include when or where to pick it up. They told me I could avoid shipping costs if I picked it up at their warehouse in new jersey but they refused to tell me where their warehouse was located as well as when I could pick it up. After threatening a chargeback through my credit card company last week they finally admitted they didnt actually have the lift they sold me at a warehouse in new jersey. They agreed to ship one to a freight terminal closer to me and provided a tracking number. That sounded fine but the lift is still showing at the origin location after 5 days and the delivery date keeps slipping out by 1 day every day. The latest estimate has the lift showing up next week but Im not hopeful at this point based on everything that has happened since ordering. Maybe the lift will show up and I'll be happy with it but right now my opinion of the company is not very high. Ill post again once I either recieve it or get my money back. Just be careful if you decide to buy from them.
Still waiting to see if it will show up. Tracking number said it was supposed to be here on their 9th then the 12th then the 19th yesterday and now the 14th today. It also said it was in Carlisle PA earlier this week but now is in Kansas. It’s coming to CT so that makes no sense at all. I’m giving it to the end of next week and then initiating a chargeback. If you are looking for a lift don’t buy from Halo.Any news?

will your Miata and F250 fit on that lift or are the wheel tracks too different? My 4 post is an Advantage 9k XLT. When I don’t have a vehicle on the lift for maintenance/repairs, my ‘28 Model A sits on it, with my Miata either underneath or next to it in my workshop area. I bought the XLT so my F250 could go on it or be parked underneath it. I like that I can raise/lower a vehicle I’m working on during the day, then park another vehicle underneath it at night so I don’t leave a vehicle outside.
I understand peoples’ concerns about the 4 posts being “in the way,” but they don’t seem to be in the way at all to me, since they don’t interfere with opening car doors in the lift bay or adjacent bay. My neighbor was anxious to part with the 2 post that came with their house because the posts didn’t leave enough room to get out of her F150 when parked in that bay.
Your garage setup and vehicles are somewhat similar to mine, i.e 33 x 28 with 11 foot ceilings. I have a couple of F150s and a 91 Miata.I am thinking 4 post because I think it will be easier given my shop situation. Slab is 4" - 4.5" with saw cuts right down the middle, 32'w x 28'd x 10't. I don't really want to cut out large sections in order to install a 2 post lift. Current vehicles are CX-30, 91 Miata, 80 F350 DRW. Are there 4 post lifts that would accommodate those rigs? I dont need to stand under, a chair would be fine and better than jacks/stands and crawling. 61 and 5'-9".
Interesting. I just installed a new to me HD9 and I set it to the narrow setting because of all my yard equipment. I was thinking I'd have to adjust it to the wider setting when my son's F150 or my Ram 1500 are on it, but your post gives me hope.I have had my 2025 Miata and my neighbors F350 on my BendPak HD9 with the runways in the narrow position.
Lotta Miata guys around here!

The dually is going to define which 4 post will work.I'd say that the majority of the 9K to 11K rated 4-posts would accommodate those vehicles.
They both fit. The F250’s tires will overhang the runways about 3/4” of an inch, but that is not a concern. I also lift our John Deere Gator on it, and even my Ferris zero turn, by using some plywood and 2x4 filler pieces, which let me drive on from the side, leaving the front tires on one runway and the rears on the other. I can then slide the filler piece out, leaving me full access to change the blades.will your Miata and F250 fit on that lift or are the wheel tracks too different?
I stand by my comment. The dually is why I left 8K’s off.The dually is going to define which 4 post will work.
I ended up with an 11K Advantage because it was one of the few that had adequate drive through width to fit my Super Duty crew cab dually
Right now you have multiple reasons for a chargeback. If it's delivered and fubared in any way then you will have basically no realistic/reliable service or warranty options from the vendor and will have a difficult time doing a chargeback. I get it .... your holding out hope that you did not make a mistake and it will all turn out ok. Unfortunately it's quite obvious you did and it likely will not. It's better to admit the mistake and get out now. We all make them and there is no shame in trying. You are only making it worse for yourself by holding on to IMHO irrational hope. Good luck.Still waiting to see if it will show up. Tracking number said it was supposed to be here on their 9th then the 12th then the 19th yesterday and now the 14th today. You should probably start your own thread. Why buy a no-name lift from a company that has not even proof read their website for the lift. Get a decent lift with good support. Bendpak, Backyard Buddy/ Advantage, and Wildfire all fit the bill.I’m finally getting ready to pull the trigger on this lift. Looks like my crew cab dully long bed Silverado will fit, barelyany thoughts would be appreciated.

Rotary too. But prices have escalated....and Direct Lift, Forward, Triumph, Mohawk...
Thanks for the recommendation. I smartly kept screenshots of all the communication with the company showing as in stock and pickup in NJ as well as the shipping information showing they decided to ship it to a completely different location. It was all uploaded with the dispute. I’m not sure how I could possibly lose the dispute with what happened and the do vume ration to prove it but will be waiting a few weeks to see how things play out before spending another 5k on another lift. It gives me time to find something else so I’ll check out those sites.Definitely keep your notes, emails and texts in case CC company needs for evidence for your case.
That's the nice thing about CC purchases you at least have a means to get your money back. 70% is bs. I'm pretty sure that's the cost to send to the warehouse.
I bought from liftswholesale.com and had no problems. You will have to check their website but pretty sure they had a warehouse in NJ. Not sure if all lifts are able to ship there. I would also recommend bestbuyautoequipment.com or redlinestands.com for you to restart your search. They all have 4 posts along with the major brands.
It will get better!!!
Closure.Final update. The credit card company sided with me on the dispute and I got all my money back. Time to start looking for another lift from a more reputable company. If anyone is reading this and looking for a lift, I highly recommend avoiding Halo.
Glad you got your money back. What started as a fun and exciting purchase, turned into a nightmare. All the heartache will be worth it though when you finally get a lift. They are absolutely game changers when it comes to working on vehicles.Final update. The credit card company sided with me on the dispute and I got all my money back.
