This is why you don't use a vise as a press

I bought a 20 ton shop press this year solely because I cracked the nut in my vise and felt so bad about it.

All the silly ways people come up with to swage sleeves, when the proper tools are very accessible and affordable (other than Nicopress, of course 😉)

hmm, cheater bar, flaring tool, not centering the work in the jaws, putting the flaring tool in such a way as to create uneven tension (I woulda put it centered HORIZONTAL) in the jaws..

yep, broke vise.

Based on how many bent handles I see on bench vises everywhere, seems cheater bars are just common practice among Americans, at least
I mean, really? Don't people know the proper way to tighten a vise is to whack the hell out of the handle with a BFH? If a BFH isn't handy, a large Crescent wrench will do.

Plus using the wrong size crimp sleeves. i was taught that the cable should just fit into the sleeve with no extra space. It looks like he is using 1/16 cable in 1/8 sleeves.
