Let's bring this thread back!
Here's the deal: I need some sort of tool box for my carpentry tools. I have traditional wooden chests and totes. But the problem I'm having is none are fun to work out of and the chests get too heavy to move by myself.
My barn conversion is around 6500sqft on 3 levels, top being 3 separate (unconnected) mezzanines. So I'm working on developing something like an automotive roll cart made out of Milwaukee pack out. The idea is that I can move it in pieces and reassemble the pieces I need into a functioning tool cart.
This (above) is the drawer section (obviously) and has basic carp tools in it. Then I'll add another box with an opening lid to the top for speciality kits (like electrical, plumbing, etc). I'm still working on the kits. What I know is they won't be the sort of kits you can buy. I may have one that is sanding and scraping for example, with a couple electric sanders, putty knives, scrapers, sand paper, sanding sponges etc. Still figuring it all out.
This is what the left end looks like right now:

I've got my big channel locks and scissors at left, then Muti tip screwdrivers in a couple sizes and a Torx multi-tip. These are just Lutz or Enderes. Then Stanley #50 chisels and a putty knife, then pencils. The oiler has air tool oil in it that I use for just about everything. There's a tube of SuperLube hiding in there too.

Other end has the long hook pair for my hammers. Those are Trusty Cook dead blow hammers. The big one is really super helpful for tapping walls, joists, timber frames. Even bumping subfloor together. Love love love that hammer. I've used it a lot more than I thought I would.
The other two are the slimline models, which are my favs. S3 and S1. Then a pair of Stilettos. Every carpenter needs a good pair of stilettos!
Drove a drywall screw into the plastic to hang my Japanese saws.
Anyway, I thought you guys would get a kick out of this.
