Now the replacement pump has failed in exactly the same way the original one did. This one only 6 months old. What a drag. "No warranty on parts" . Has anyone ever had any recourse with HF on something like this? It really makes me think about what I am buying.

***** huge because of a knee replacement I can't kneel to work on bikes.

I've had my HFT bike lift for nearly 15 years. Never a problem. I recently replaced it with an abba Skylift. The HFT lift is available cheap if you're near NoSoCal.

I don't know. Just replacing the jack is torture for me as my new knee does not allow me to kneel so I have to pay a guy to swap it. I need the lift operational ASAP so I had to buy a second jack. There is no warranty on HF parts whatsoever.

They dont offer an extended warranty when you buy it?

Im guessing the jack didnt leak its oil. Its probably just an O-ring

I had this model for a dozen years, always working fine. I had to turn the jack to the side so I wouldn't hit mama's car when lifting. Now it's under recall according to the interweb.

I bought the 20 ton press over fifteen years ago. About a month or two after purchase, it started leaking. I only used it a few times because I was disappointed. About two weeks ago I decided to watch a video on taking the pumps apart and rebuilding them. It turns out the pump handle O-Ring was the culprit. I had an O-Ring kit and matched it to the original. It stopped leaking. I read Buna-N Nitrile are the O-Rings to use. My brother bought the same press about ten years ago and his has never leaked.

If possible, please share the link for the video. I have the same HF 20T press that's leaking too.

And for the OP, I have an HF motorcycle lift table that the pump seemed to have failed. It turned out to be a speck of metal grit on the sealing surface of the let-down valve. I carefully disassembled the valve and cleaned it out and the pump started working again. FWIW, the pump on this lift table has leaked (slowly) since day one. I just keep an aluminum pie plate under it and empty it when needed.

THis here is a bit pricey, but I've seen on other forums it's a viable solution to the lousy HF pump:

I starts about at the 6:43 mark where he removes the O-Ring from the pump handle shaft. It's not the same pump but the same principle.
