Both. It's what I use to clean my hands and tools when I make wreaths. (Apparently WD40 is not an approved wreath odor, but it works, too.)

That is the only true purpose of WD40. For cleaning tools.

Canola or coconut or PAM also works great when you don't think about what you are doing and clear out a bunch of fir bushes in a tank top because its hot out, and end up with sticky dreadlocked, fir pitch arm hair!

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I can say it's worth grabbing.
It took me a second to figure out the jigsaw blades, but it works on both T & U shanks.

Those look like my DeWalts, with a slightly different color scheme. I like them a lot.

I have had a tiny bit of wire brush bristle make it through an air vent on the eyebrow edge, though, and tumbled into my eye. Not good. That's what I get for straying from goggles + shield, too. Also, cheap Chinese brush.

It is a very simple tool that works shockingly well... worth buying the real thing over a knock off as well.

I've been avoiding buying an oscillating tool for a while now, but finally have a need for one. Found this on HD website and bit the bullet. The bare tool goes for $170, for some reason they also are selling it with a 4ah battery for $130. When I went in to pick one up, they weren't even on the shelf, they were in a huge box, on a pallet, on the rack. Maybe some upcoming sale or promo? I decided to let them pull one and come back the next day so I didn't have to wait for an hour.

After only ever using the older corded ones that require an allen bolt to install the blade, this thing is slick. Hopefully it holds up.

Picked up a couple of items to finish my deck railing project.

Random brand hydraulic crimper for all the cable fittings. It was probably a little undersized and it was tough going until I had the idea to clamp it in my Workmate and add a piece of PVC conduit for a cheater. From there it was smooth sailing for the rest of the 320 crimps.


And a Dewalt ROS for sanding the top rail (somewhat splintery, siliceous "red balau"). This thing is pretty powerful and leaves a good finish, but the vibration is pretty intense. After the first hour my hands started getting numb, so I cut a piece of padding off an old yoga mat. That worked great and really helped cut the vibration. As I get older I have less and less tolerance for vibration - should've been more careful when I was younger!

Back in 2023 I bought the brass version of these on Amazon for $1.44/box. I bought four boxes of male fittings and two female. In retrospect, I should have bought more, but I've only used a few fittings so far.

That was such a good deal. I bought a good bit. I keep hoping to see that price again but the closest I've got is over $10.

Low bulk, thin noses, and put on quite a lot of force. Quite a useful spread of sizes for my needs. They do quite a few variants (e.g. with T bar instead of screwdriver handle, cast iron variant, wooden handles), sizes, and accessories. I was half thinking to get the T bar style, but figured it'd probably get in the way more often than I'd feel the benefit for tightening. Might have been nice to have a 1/4" square drive on the end of the handles.

Gearwrench 20 inch tool box. I plan to try and get most of my socket sets to sit in here the regular use sockets 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. So deep sockets and sizes over 32mm won't be kept in here.

Edit: This'll do just fine , and fits both the Foam modules and the top fits the larger C profile Socket I have. With 2 drawers to spare I'm sure I'll get everything I want together to fit. So far the weight seems to me manageable too.

I think I'll paint it blue though

Roughneck 50cm "Just under 20-in" (so, we know it's intended to be metric mainly) folding ruler.

Bought mostly for the tiny tools collection. There's a few problems with this design--cheap keychain, and the markings aren't engraved, only printed. Thus, it simply wouldn't be something I'd use daily.

Lidl, $30, borescope, inspection camera, I bought one from them a few years ago, always borrowed. New one, better resolution, smaller screen, plus zoom, head is half the diameter of the previous, no articulation. Test before you leave, my first was DOA. I paid $50 for the previous. For $30, it's a steal.

Sadly , my patience for masking isn't quite what it should be and since everything is rivited , I could only remove the lock. Everything else had to be masked and I really should be more patient. I guess if it was a more important project , I'd have drilled out and re rivited but this didn't justify that.

Shiny new bit ratchet set, tape pack because I needed tape anyway, and cheapo Torx keys to fill in the blanks. Don't need 'em often but I've had to borrow some before.
