Yup. I figured the worst it could do was die, and instead it jumped nice fat blue sparks that fried wasps. It was a HF unit.You just use a 9V instead of 2 AA?

but fiddled for a while with the nilights for the baja, something is being a bit to fussy. I took the breadboard, pins and dupont pieces apart a couple times. Will eventually figure it out!

I use two bars to wind them up, so one is always braced against the door.

Regardless, they eventually break. I think I've had to replace two out of six and had to loosen and re-tension several when the cables jumped the rollers.Did you ever oil it ?
