hey I was at princess auto today and picked up a 30,000-55,000 Mr. Heater. -25 here today and the garage was actually warmer inside (about -10 ish) I plugged the heater in and in about 10 minutes it was nice in there,... WOOHOOOO!!!!!!

Excellent build thread. I'm a fellow Canadian (near London, ON). I see you have a Mr Heater unit like mine. I have a 24x40 pole barn style shop and I bought a 45K natural gas unit from Princess Auto last week to keep me warm this winter. I installed it by the book but when I flipped the switch it wouldn't run. The exhaust fan would come on for a minute, the ignitor would buzz and the gas valve solenoid would click, and then it would shut itself off. The error code indicated no flame detected (no **** sherlock). After several hours of trying to get it to work I called a friend who does residential furnace repair and he popped by. He used his sniffer to confirm what I already suspected, no gas was getting through the gas valve. So I took the unit back. That's when they realized they mistakenly gave me a propane unit. There was no label on the first box indicating which type it was but the replacement had a natural gas sticker on it. Anyway, I took the correct unit home, hooked it up and presto
Keep up the good work.

Holy ****, your guys work fast! At what point did you take over the build?

more pictures please Dave,
how's the weather holding up for you? we are actually out of the deep freeze (-34C to 1C on the positive side

. I had 14 sheets of 4X12 drywall on the truck to be unloaded yet. Called up my good friend Brian to help me unload it. So today (Tuesday) home from work, and can hardly put my socks onI managed to pop my back out in the garage. I had 14 sheets of 4X12 drywall on the truck to be unloaded yet. Dave, kinda missing your updates, anything new happening?

I'm now actually thinking of going with a straight pipe sloping downwards to drain water and run a upright before the end of it for the filter & regulator. I'd add a drain at the end of the pipe, something like this picture, but with just one drop at the end:

Impressive garage build you did there Dave - thanks for the good air piping layout.
- I hope to borrow, your ideal layout, this summer.
- do you have a source website, for the air piping diagram ??
Also, read one of your posts re. a Canadian version 1957 CHEV. 2 door post.
- just curious...what's different or unique about the Canadian models, in '57 ??
- I know the Oshawa ON. made Chevelle's had inside trunk sheet metal painted in the same exterior body color
(at least the A-Bodies for the Canadian dealer market)[/B]
I'm just South of London...neighbor...big fan of Canadian iron to.

First time reading your build, very nice. I noticed in the back yard, that big river. Do you have to worry about flooding? It looks like your up maybe 20', I can't tell from the pictures, but it sure looks like a pretty place.
I see your avatar says TeamChevy, are you into 57's or just other cool ole chevy's?
I use to be into the 56 Chevy's, owned probably about 50 of them over the years, had three of them I showed and one I raced a little at nostagilia drags. I put disc brakes and a LS7 454, with 411 rear and turbo 400. That was back in the early 80's, seems like another lifetime ago. Anyway, very nice shop, gonna watch what you paint, like walls and floor.

Hey Dave,
Have been busy @ work also will post some pics of my 66 Belair, out of interest there is a 66 Biscayne on Kiiji in Windsor, have you looked it?? was thinking about looking at it
Thanks
John
