A deal is a deal, no matter where it is located. I like my deals in one thread. I can scan this thread most ricky tick and ignore what I need to.

As mentioned, if you see a deal, especially Amazon, you have to jump fast. I often get frustrated for missing deals too.

Woodcraft's Black Friday specials are up.

http://toolguyd.com/2010/11/woodcraft-black-friday-specials/

Free shipping is extended thru Monday 11/29, and there are a few dencent discounts on a router, benchtop lathe, drill press etc.

How does the Triton 8.5” Sliding Compound Miter Saw from woodcraft for $139 compare to the Hitachi 10" Compound Miter Saw for $100 from Amazon?

1 slides, 1 does not, but the Hitachi has a bigger blade.

If you could only have 1 compound Miter saw, which would it be?

As of now, I only plan on using it for 2X4's and trim, but it would be great to future proof myself.

Given those two options, I'd got for the $100 Hitachi.

The 8-1/2" saw does slide, but won't provide any advantages for cutting 2x4s or trim. Even if it has a greater capacity than the 10" saw, it will be hard to find compatible blades.

10" saw blades are widely available, and imho, that makes the 10" saw much more future-proof. That's not saying that it will be the last miter saw you buy, but it'll probably be more versatile than the 8-1/2" saw.

I heard the commercial today and I knew I wanted that router. I was trying to figure out how I was gonna leave work when they open at 9am. The sale prices are good now and free shipping online.

Awesome, now I have a router to go with all the bits I bought:thumbup:

And the 350$ is the actual price, Im so used to the inflated amazon prices its nice to see some honesty for once

Just got my set yesterday, VERY happy with it! BTW, the one I got was the older? one that includes the T70. I see some of the newer models (same OTC part number do not include the T70).
As for warranty, lifetime with no impact use allowed.

Order it a few days ago and got it today; also has the T70.
Very nice and complete set.

A lot of Lowes deals aren't shipping.

e.g. I tried to order the Skil X-Bench. Was able to add it to my cart an hour ago. After midnight, it became "online only" but can't be shipped out. grr.

And now the coupons aren't working. I placed one order for AA batteries, and one for a cast iron pipe wrench. Not says "Purchase does not qualify for promotion."

It looks like you were one of the lucky ones that actually got to take advantage of this. None of the codes are working now. :(

Some of the details in the SD thread stated that only certain stores allow the codes. Perhaps try a different store in your area?

The X-Bench workstation was $100 on Amazon early this week, and the pink one was less, but I think that model is gone.

B&D Ratcheting ReadyWrench $22 at Amazon, usually spends its day at $25-30. Lowes still has the original ReadyWrench at $7 in great quantity in my local store, YMMV. HD's completely terrible spline drive model is $19, and I'd say comparatively the real deal B&D is a steal.

Klein non-contact voltage tester, visual and audible alerts with free voltage/ground/gfci plug-in tester, in-store only $15 at Home Depot. Online sku does not include plug-in tester. Batteries included. You can find a Fluke model for a few bucks more on Amazon, but no extras.

HD has a commercial for a Maytag washer and dryer for $249 each right now, seems like a good BF deal. Appliances aren't very festive though...

B&D original WorkMate is down to $29 at HD online and in store.

The ever-popular Milwaukee corded earplugs are back in stock and I highly recommend them at $5.

Does sears offer online purchase/in store pick up on the bf doorbuster deals? There are several items I wouldn't mind buying but I don't get off until 0700.

Ive been trying to think of usable uses for the jawhorse. Havent been able to think of any until I saw it holding that fence post. Damn I could have used that thing this summer when I was building my privacy fence. I didnt have any help so I had to brace every post while I dry set it. Really time consuming to say the least. Now I have ceiling drywall to hang in the garage and I think Im going to buy a jawhorse instead of drywall lift. More versatile imo

Has anyone seen the jawhorse cheaper than $159

I was looking at those before, and I believe the ebay ones are 'new' but have some cosmetic damage to them?

Is this the same Skil table?

$69 at Big Lots but Saturday only

with free shipping, mine would pass as new, I didn't notice anything different about it.

I got the ebay one. Also didn't notice anything different about it. I actually checked out the new ones at Lowes to see if there was anything materially different about it, but didn't notice anything.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. For $7.48 for 30 cheap pliers, makes for some cheapie gifts as well as throw away pliers

I googled before I posted, not sayin much, but Sears has em.
