Chavist93, sounds like you got a nice deal!

Thanks for the heads-up about the other 12V max deals. I knew about the bit set deal, but didn't see the one of the battery. Now I'll have to edit the deal post scheduled for TG for tomorrow. =)

btw, I <3 that hex driver!

I couldnt resist. I just got the drill/impact combo kit from amazon a few days ago when they had it for $179. So I actually could use the free impact bit set.

My bowl-o-pliars arrives tomorrow, I only paid 1.99. My dad used to say "dumber then a box of two dollar hammers." This isn't far off.

Mine arrived today, and it was only 1 plier! Not a bowl. :(

This pair is definitely not worth the price to ship it to me.

Jim

Allen 101 Piece Tool set

Menards has an Allen 101 Piece tool set on sale this week for $24.99. The item number in the flyer is 237-8554. It is a 1/4" & 3/8" drive set with 10 combination wrenches. Seems like a good deal to me. I will post a scan of the ad later.
Thanks, Dave

LOL, that's exactly what I just got too. Well, time to start the dispute process.

These "too good to be true" deals are always risky but it's still fun to give them a try.

Save up to 53%" on PB Swiss Tool Sets

Prices dropped ~15 on the "set for him" since earlier in the week. Prices are still a tad bit high, though for something I don't "need".

Edit: expired

You're welcome!

The UPS guy just stopped by. =) Got my new Petzl light, a saw from Woodcraft, a Craftsman premium ratchet to give away, and some boot/pant gaiters.

These are still live. uch, I hate how these prices mess with my brain. I already spent too much this week!

Ahh, well, you won't get any sympathy from me, Mr. "I got a smoking deal on a Beta toll box." :lol_hitti

Thanks Stuey! I just picked up the ratchet with the quick release and couple of Beta auto body hammer. There were a lot of other good deals in there on Beta tools but sadly I can only spend so much!
You're welcome!

One of my strategies to overcome hot-deal temptations is to share the deal with others. I then feel like I'm taking advantage of the deal by proxy, and don't feel as bad not jumping on a good deal.

It's really too bad that there are so many 12 point.

I agree, not big on 12pt sockets myself. If you want an all-6pt kit, the 6-point 124 piece kit is the same $99 price, but that's its regular price, online/catalog only. You lose out on some wrenches and nutdrivers but you gain some hex bits. I can't really say if it's a good deal or not without a catalog in front of me but it seems pretty alright.

Stuey, do you live in a garage with a laptop and overflowing ashtrays, coffee cups all around, low light, large do not disturb sign on the door, eating vitamin supplements to stay alive, tunnels that lead from the bathroom to the computer and to a portal where fresh supplies are delivered to you at, scouring the earth for deals on tools 24 hours a day?
Do you sleep?, do the people at amazon desire to find you and shut you up? do you like long walks on the beach, as long as you have your i phone so you can be updated as to the current deal of the minute?
Or, do you own stock in all these companies that you post deals about, and in reality, you are planning on taking over the world, or just moving to Costa Rica and having the biggest problem of the day be eggs benedict or over easy.
Either way, thanks for doing what you do, my sickness has benefited from your sickness:thumbup:

I live in an apartment. I work on projects indoors, outdoors, at work, and in my parent's backyard.

You don't even want to know what my place looks like. I have accumulated a LOT of things in the past few years. Much of it gets used. Some were picked up on sale for future use. For example, I typically only use 3-4 out of 8 sizes of a ratcheting wrench set, but at half-off, it was cheaper to buy the set than just the 3 sizes I used often.

A pair of fire inspectors came in to check the sprinklers a few weeks ago. The older of the two was looking around with wide eyes saying "what goes on in HERE?!"

Don't forget that I also do reviews for ToolGuyd. Sometimes things just show up at the door, a lot of times I wait for a good sale.

Like I said, you don't even want to know what it looks like. I might take photos if I can clean up tomorrow.

And it's not that I spend a lot of time searching for deals, I just happen to be very good at it. =)

I was actually good at not buying too many tools for a few months. But last week I found one sale, and then another, and then the floodgates opened. I'm also taking advantage of the Victoronix sale to pick up future ToolGuyd giveaway items. =)

In any case, I'm glad to help you get some good use out of your credit card. =)
