Well the mail came today and there wasn't anything. Kinda ***** as I was looking foward to this.

well, we had chirstmas today! at my sisters house. My gift is awesome! sadly in the mess of things...as you can imagine a 2 year old tearing presents apart, the box it came in, has met the trash can, along with the note! unless its here somewhere still...i havent found it. but, i read the note, i know who my secret santa is, and i realllly love the gift! I will post pics and who my ss is at midnightish haha. i really wasent expecting a gift as cool! i just feel bad for losing the note! but my brother in law just grabbed everything that was "trash" and stuffed it in a bag...the trash bin is overflowing back there....i dont reallly want to dig it out..might have to make him do it! haha

As for me, I have received mine and my SS received his yesterday!

as i posted earlier he PMed me to let me know it might be late BUT it arrived today first thing i did was shake it, it has an interesting rattle. can't wait til morning.here is a pic

the second half of mine was shipped today there was a good reason for the lateness but he should get it early next week

Okay so its not exactly a 'secret santa' related to garage journal but I ended up finding a girl's wallet this morning covered in frost sitting on the grass. Now, without going into detail I am actually going through a pretty rough time right now but if there is one thing I believe myself to be is an honorable person. I looked inside and there was $140 in cash plus a drivers license with the address and credit cards etc. The area I live in is pretty poor actually and so anyway, I went over to her house which was pretty close and left a note on her door. She called me as soon as she got home and the conversation went something like this:

Me: (I missed a phone call from her) I received a missed call from this number...

Her: I had a note on my door with this phone number on it.

Me: Yeah that was me. I have something of yours.

Her: Is it my wallet????!!!!

Me: Yep.

Her: Where are you? Can I come get it now??

Me: Sure, Im at ___. Come on over.

Her: Thank you.


Anyways.... I gave her the wallet and hesitantly accepted the $10 'reward'. I didn't ask for it but I've been out of work recently so I accepted. I'm not looking for praise by posting this... its just funny how things work out.

About 6 years ago I lost my wallet in a parking lot and some stranger turned it in to the post office in that shopping center. When I went to ship out some packages next time I happened to find out they had my wallet - the money was still in there.

The point is, I would have returned her wallet anyway but I remember when a kindness was done to me and I will return the favor. I hope you all know that there are still people in this world who value something more than money... or tools

I got mine quite a while ago but never even thought to post up here in the thread. I did manage to figure out who it was from. From way too uncommon of a town. That and he visited my page and gave himself away!! Lol I haven't opened it yet, I will open it tomorrow at my family Xmas party. I have a long drive to make that afternoon and I may have a short delay before I can get back on here but thanks in advance JaysonB!

I got a sweet little Mirco-Tough 1/4" ratchet from Lump, thanks Jim, I did take pictures but left the digi cam out in the car. Will post them in the morning.

I've never seen a Matco catalogue, and a while back i made a thread asking if someone would be willing to send me one... CBradio said he would send one with my gift. He didn't need to spend his money on a gift for me, i would have been pleased just to receive the catalogue.
