Chicago to New Jersey is 2 days via UPS ground, 3 days max. The only way I would believe that it was actually sent out via UPS is if he posts a tracking number.

Banned from future SS participation is nothing, at very LEAST he should be banned from the classifieds, if not the entire forum.

If he does that, then I agree.
I don't know what he's been going through, he might have not been able to resend it, or maybe he simply forgot.
But if he doesn't come through, something like graffix000 suggested certainly doesn't seem unreasonable.

Forgiveness would be up to each individual, Mike, so you are free to give it or withhold it. A man doesn't need to be treated like **** for the rest of his life because he didn't send a SS gift, if he tries to make sincere amends.

I would think something must have happened. Not trying to downplay the situation because it was crappy to mess up once and then tell bry@n he re sent it and never did. At the very least if he couldn't afford a present he should have sent what his secret santa sent him just so something got sent out.

Hopefully he comes out and gives some kind of explination. And I think those of us that frequent this forum won't forget about this.

Mrholeshot, I think it was just unwise for him to do such a thing. I do have morals, don't get me wrong, and they are good ones 99% of the time, plus I am sure it is an extra account on the behalf of him sharing it with us anyways.

For some reason, I have a feeling something out of the norm happened, and although he is hiding, he might come out. I am not sure what he got, but with what he already has at home, I doubt it was substantial enough to become what happened, if that makes sense.

For punishment, well, if he is proven guilty without a good reason, I think he should be banned from the site. There shouldn't be room for thief's on this site, well one's that show themselves in public and screw over a fellow member.

I thought the same thing to be honest. I sent a pm looking for tracking and then sent a email asking if it was a money issue. If it was a money issue, I could look the other way, but he would need to man up and say so. Avoiding the issue, just makes things worse.

Yeah but each person has to draw a line where their morals are. His wife/girlfriend shouldn't be put down as was previously done in this thread because this guy didn't follow through on his obligations. To talk bad and ugly about her would just be rather crude and tasteless. To dig around in his private photos would be even worse. I also like to give people the benefit of the Doubt.. If 06wt was logging in everyday, Making posts etc and Dodging/Ignoring PM's etc it would shed more light on this debacle. If you check his profile it clearly shows he hasnt logged in since Last Activity: 12-29-2010 12:45 AM Now Is he not showing up because he is ashamed or "Did Life Happen?" People get Sick, People end up in the Hospital or Worse etc... due to various reasons. I still dont agree with how this thread has worked out but i believe all the Major players have given it consent so he we are. Does everyone feel better?

I usually don't agree with you, but here I have to say that I do, to an extent. Although, the way you put it still annoys the hell out of me.

We know who he is and not to deal with him unless he explains what happened. It's been said. Maybe something happened and he has more important things going on right now. Maybe something else is going on here. I had something I bought sent to the wrong address. The seller fixed it immediately, no harm was done and life keeps moving on. I didn't get pissed and things worked out. I realize that it's not the same thing, but I'm just pointing out that things happen and we don't need to over react here.

There's no hope of everyone in here ever agreeing; this is just the latest telling of an old tale.

I have to agree here also, a "re-gift" would have avoided this mess. Also he has one heck of a box full of goodness I can only dream to have. It wouldn't take much to send something out of the box (no out of pocket cost except shipping of course).

Yep, not that it matters (my opinion) because I did not participate in SS and I wasn't the one left "high and dry"....but I would forgive him if he gave a true explanation and a sincere apology. On the other hand I would not forget the incident either!

Just the existence of this thread is damage enough. It probably should be closed down soon.....with the exception of the 06wt being able to respond if/when he returns.

In the end some very nice fellow members made it right to the OP. That's really what matters here...and what should be remembered out of this unfortunate event. My hat is off to the guys who teamed up and send a replacement SS gift.

It doesn't upset me that he is taking the heat because like you said he should have had it sent out way before. My biggest beef is with some dragging his loved ones in the middle of it. As a Victim of a hateful mob and having my privacy invaded I feel for him in that respect and this happened to me without the slightest person being wronged. To call his woman ugly things is more of a reason to be banned than what he did. Banning him never gives him the chance to make ammends. Had he not stated he sent the package UPS I may have beleived it didn't arrive. That package you can track. But like you say life happens and unless you are 100% sure of whats going on we as adults shouldn't act like a bunch of 5 year olds. I say if he makes it right and ask for forgiveness everybody else should let it go.
