Don't like them, I like the round blades with the bolsters. That hex shaft will get old in a hurry. They look cheesy and where the blade sometimes has to rest against something else the shaft will cam. I think they screwed the pooch on those.

I am not a fan of them but we will see how the aviation guys like them. 5 phillips in one set will get their attention.

Cool!! did snap on get those hex blades from Wera, Witte, or Felo?
I prefer hex blades, better for finger spinning. Do you know if they will be available in other handle colors beside red and in hard Instinct handles?
Thanks for sharing.

They don't really look diamondy, do they? Maybe they should've thrown some glitter into the mix.

But wouldn't the point of using diamond be counter productive? Sure the driver will last longer, but wouldn't it just cause the screw to strip easier?

With Wera the diamond particles are in the drive faces and dig into the fastener so it doesn't slip.

Its like the old trick of using a drop of some abrasive liquid on the tip of the screwdriver. The grit digs into the metal reducing slip.

they do not look "diamondy" and no acr ( anti cam out ribs )
they blades are made in the Czech republic.
I do not know who is the manufacturer at this point.
handles are usa made and they are assembld here.
COO is on the package for each part.

How long do these diamond particle coatings actually last before the tip is smooth?

It seems like a marketing gimmick but I don't have any first hand experience.

I think they are wera.... the first thing that rung a bell was the hex shaft and the font used in the "Diamond" imprint on the shaft! I thought of Wera; right away! Well, the Czech Republic while not a 100% confirmation; definitely points towards a German OEM... I vote for WERA! :)

Add me to the list of folks who don't like the hex shanks. They look like they'd cause problems on screws in deep, small diameter, recesses. That's all I ever use regular Phillips screwdrivers for. If the shank diameter of a ratcheting driver will fit I use that instead.

Cool!! did snap on get those hex blades from Wera, Witte, or Felo?

They do look euro between the hex shanks and dull chrome. Wouldn't surprise me if Snap-on were using outsourced, euro, shanks in them. Wonder what, if any, COO markings there are on the tools or packaging?

They don't appear to have ACR teeth. IIRC ACR is a registered trademark of Phillips and it's possible the design is patented too. If they have an actual diamond coating on the tips that might help reduce cam out. Kinda like permanently attached lapping compound.

Or Felo... those blades look ALOT like Felo, down to the tip finish. Either/or, the blades are surely top notch... I kinda like these SO's, possibly/potentially/maybe/don't know/some day interested.

Does Felo manufacture any of their screwdrivers in the Czech Republic? All of the Felo screwdrivers I own are made in Germany.
