Check the Stanley Supply Services website, they have some JIS sets that may be Jensen.

Also the Snap on #2 ACR bit is machined to work well in JIS screws.

I have Koken, but there have been threads about this that have come up before. Vessel and Sunflag are other makes, and money allowing, I'll be grabbing a full set of Vessel JIS ones...

Any interest in purchasing Premium Japanese Screwdrivers

Japanese Industrial Standard Screwdrivers

Dede2897234/Dave knows a fair bit about these, and has a number of different makes etc. Bad Religion, where are you based? If AU, there is a place in Aus that sells JIS - one of the above threads has a AUS-based seller...

You might want to give Sunflag a crack - they are available in Aus via one of the threads above, or look up either RJCool tools online, Frankstools or one of Daves threads above - you can pretty much get a full set of Vessels.

Sick Puppy,

RJRCoolTools.com does not stock Sunflag screwdrivers. The only Japanese made screwdrivers he carries are from Vessel.

Yeah, I know - Vessel were sold by RjCool in the USA, but I remember you created the thread about the Australian seller of Sunflag JIS screwdrivers, which since the OP is in Australia, was the first place he should look.

Second option after that was the American vendors, hence RJCool and the new outfit...

bad_religion_au,

I updated all the links to The Wood Works for Sunflag screwdrivers and IPS pliers so that they now work. Thanks for informing me.

Can you provide the link to the other Australian source for Sunflag screwdrivers you are considering making a purchase?

Here is a link to the Sunflag website that mentions the models "666" and "888" having JIS tips: LINK.

In addition, here is a link to the e-mail that a Sunflag company representative sent me confirming that their models "888" and "215-P" conform to the JIS standard (post# 73): LINK.

I think that the tool resellers mention "Phillips" when describing cross recess Sunflag screwdrivers is because the public understands the term better than "JIS".

Sorry Dave, I see what you meant when you responded to my post - I meant check the Australian site for Sunflag, and then the US sites for Vessels.

bad_religion_au,

I contacted "justtools.com" last year with questions about their Sunflag screwdriver stock. A salesperson contacted me promptly after my initial e-mail. I am sure they will handle your order with great service. When your Sunflag order arrives at your home, please post pictures of your purchase(s).

Thanks,

Dave
