Stopped in HD near me. Same stuff you bought was ~$17+tax. I passed.

Why are things priced so differently, even in NJ?

Well, there's two Home Depots where I'm at and both of them at any given time have differing prices on the exact same products...who knows what's going on!

Just to let everyone know, I ordered mine on Thursday evening and received it yesterday afternoon (Friday). I know there wasn't an image attached, but it is indeed the 10" Craftsman impact grade 1/2" extension and it appears to be in good shape. For $4.62, it's one of the best deals I've had.

Are there any current Sears online coupons for items below $50.00? I have not been able to find any on the internet.

Thanks,

Dave

Noticed $5 off $25/$10 off $60/$15 off $100 started today [printable coupons also], goes until tuesday. Automatically applies to only one item in your cart so you can abuse it with multiple orders. Free shipping with coupon "USA". For items $49.99 You can save a few more bucks by adding small items like a Cman spark plug gap gauge which allows you to use the $5 off $50 coupons.

It should make the 3/8" and gauge around $43
1/4" $35
1/2" $50 [with both 5 off coupons but no free shipping]

I stopped at a home depot on the way to the beach this past week when I was taking a break to stretch my legs and I found a vaughan bear claw (made in Japan) which had a retail price of about $15 or something like that. It was the last one and at the bottom of the box where the long stanley made prybars were. I brought it to the self checkout to do a price check and it said that the item was not in the system. Hmm okay. So I probably could have just walked out with it and no one would have been the wiser, but I didn't. I took it to the service desk and asked how much they were going to charge me for it since it was no longer being carried there... He wanted to charge me the same price as the Estwing ones. Um..no... so I walked out. Since when do clearance items go back up to full price or beyond? :headscrat

Is it true that if you order online while in the store you can get free shipping to the store?

If you order online in a Sears store they will ship it to your house for free if it is a UPS type item. (At least the last time I checked a few months ago.) It won't work with big stuff like a large toolbox that can't be sent UPS.

Definitely true. I have done it numerous times from as far back as a year ago to a few days ago. Always free shipping if you order online within the store.

Great deals on Milwaukee M18 tools from OSH hardware online for 2 days only (til 2-21-11).
Milwaukee Sawzall for $129. http://www.osh.com/eng/product/milwaukee_electric_tool_18_volt_sawzall_kit_with_1_battery/6830772
Can't tell if it is a one or two battery system as the title says one and the details say two. Either way its a great deal.

Milwaukee Hammer drill for $149. This is the 2 battery kit. http://www.osh.com/eng/product/milwaukee_electric_tool_m18_compact_hm_dr_2xc_bat_kit/6841787
The XC batteries alone usually go for $75+ a piece on amazon.

The price will reflect an instant $20 discount once you add to cart. There is a free shipping "FS2011" code also.

First I read on here that someone used a HF 20% off coupon at Home Depot and now I read someone used the dame coupon at Lowes. Am I reading this right or are there jokesters on this board?

I was skeptical also. I just took a hf coupon up to the customer service desk and asked, the girl asked the manager, who said yes.

I used it on a $400 air compressor at Home Depot. I believe it's at the discretion of the store manager, and obviously you couldn't use it on a product that's not comparable at both stores (I'm sure it's a no-go on paint, plants or lumber).

I cant find a HD near me that will accept it. Lowes wont either. Ive asked politely, Ive raised hell. Both places said no, because the products are not the same brand. ie if HF carried a bosch drill, HD would accept the coupon on a bosch drill.

I know HF carries a few name brand items and when I find myself with some extra time, I might snap a few photos of them on the shelf and then attempt to use the coupon again at HD. Just to see if I can get them to honor it.

It seems Im always in a hurry too, so I dont have time to drop the items at the counter walk out empty handed across the street to the competitor and purchase items there. Just so they know they lost a sale by not taking a competitors coupon as advertised.

HD has given me the 10% discount though, and that applies to the entire order so depending on whats in your cart, you may come out ahead.

On another note, Forstner bits at rockler with free shipping

This came in my email today, Im sure they're chinese but for someone like me that doesnt have the need for them often it seems like a good deal. Many good reviews about the set having several in-between sizes included.

Picked up one of the drills. Sure wish I knew if the Sawzall came with 1 or 2 batteries. Their copy and paste descriptions kinda ****!

I will sell the drill and maybe the case. Maybe even the charger but I will probably keep it. I have the next larger drill in a kit and need a couple batteries.

Yeah, I would say 1 battery also because its original price is $249 which is the same as the home depot 1 battery kit 2602-21. The 2 battery kit starts at over $300 if I remember correctly.

What are you going by? The title says 1, but the description says 2.

I expect it is 1 too.

This ^. The list price is too low. The kit with 2 batteries is substantially more money.

This is a pretty specialized tool and I have no immediate use for it (though I wish I did) but I figured this was a great deal for surveyors/contractors on this forum if they could use it:

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FStanley-Pro-Grade-Contractors-Automatic-Optical%2Fdp%2FB000KAXR4G%3Fs%3Dhi%26ie%3DUTF8%26qid%3D1298266185%26sr%3D1-9&tag=thesciesnote-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325">Stanley 77-183 AL24D 24x Pro-Grade Contractors Automatic Optical Level</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=thesciesnote-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> Sale: $59.99 with free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime. Regular Price: $429.00

And while many of us are not fans of 12 point wrenches, here is a Stanley Proto 5 piece box wrench set on sale- be warned though- THIS IS SAE:

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FStanley-Proto-J1100G-Piece-Wrench%2Fdp%2FB000HZKX6O%3Fs%3Dhi%26ie%3DUTF8%26qid%3D1298266440%26sr%3D1-47&tag=thesciesnote-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325">Stanley Proto J1100G 5 Piece 12 Point Box Wrench Set</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=thesciesnote-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
Sale: $40.54 with free two day shipping with Amazon Prime. Regular Price: $136.98

Hope this helps some people here,

Looks like those are sold out. They still have the M18 Drill Driver (non-hammer) for $160.

Heads up again - a few more of the Beta tools dropped in price lately on Amazon. Things plain grip pliers, etc.

Yeah, I have not seen that much new and exciting. I added over 200 Beta items to my cart and set them to Save for Later. When i go back into the cart, it tells me exactly which ones have changed prices. It seems like they go up and down but most are around 50% off. I'm holding out for 70% on a lot of stuff.

It seems like they changes prices most often in the Afternoon. I would have expected them to update over night. It is strange to see them go back and forth between 50% and 52% off on an item. I guess they think that will drive more sales.

Stuey,

Can you please post the Beta items with its associated model number (without links to Amazon) for the tools that have dropped in price?

Thanks,

Dave
