Who makes a good one that has lifetime warranty? Snap on doesn't appear to make an impact grade one anymore.... Soo...any others out there that decent?
Proto has one with lifetime warranty and USA, but it sheered off within a few minutes of use.
I'll always mention sunex when impact stuff comes up.

IIRC, Snap-On never made an impact-grade in of any adapter size.
I have the full set from 1/4 to 1/2 set plus the 3/4's available and all are marked not for impact use.
And they are all the "black" impact finish adapters, which is misleading.
sunex, never really used much... how is the actual warranty service? Do you know if they handle it or the retailer does?
Never had to use their warranty. Only replaced when lost or stolen. Started using them about 7 years ago.

I can't hardly tell their website description is so misleading... here is a 1" to 3/4"

I suggest you make sure you look at the reducer itself for a stamping of the warning. It's on the sets I have (but only up to 3/4") and they are Snappy and bought off the truck from a local dealer. If dealer sold and warranty supported than awesome.
BTW--Ur at 1" reducer there with the link hoss, not what I stated nor what the OP requested. Here's a hug tho. <<<>>>
BTW JD850j, there IS another side to that reducer that you do NOT see. Hmmmm...
And I am aware of the finish. Just keeping it simple for the avg. tool folk . Jeebus.
. And I wasn't being sarcastic when I said "I can't hardly tell their website description is so misleading... here is a 1" to 3/4" I was honestly confused because it says impact and then in the description it says industrial finish like all the other non impact adapters they have on the website...
OK.
BTW for anyone interested I have confirmed that snap on did at one time sell a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter that was an impact grade adapter it was called the GLA62 however they replaced it with a non-impact grade adapter with a replaceable bit called the GLAS1E I don't know why they did but oh well.... I ordered a Sunex 3 piece set for 20 bux, well see how that goes... I also am going to try and win some auctions on ebay for the old GLA62 because they are apparantly some kind of monsters, they even marked the adapter with "4500 LB" rating on them..![]()
Look again, its rated at 4500 in/lbs, which is about 375 ft/lbs. I broke one once. Some will laugh at me, but I've had decent luck with Horrible Freight. A whole set is only $5, and they will warranty them, so I keep 2-3 laying in my box.![]()
We've abused the Harbor Freight one on our IR 3/4" impact and unlike most of the **** in the store it is actually never showed any sign of twisting. I'd recommend giving HF a try on this item.
I just warrantied a glas1e with my snapon dealer. He replaced the twisted male end and told me to stop using it with the impact gun. He also pointed out where it says " not for impact use" right on the adaptor. I think it has a lot to do with your relationship with your dealer. If he works with you then I'd get the snap on and go to town. How much could the male end (replacement part) cost?
As painful as it is to admit this, I've had a Great Neck adapter from Autozone kicking around for a few years now with no sign of twisting.
Amazing! What impact do you use on it?
