Yes. I just picked one up for $40 out the door. I had a hard time paying $90, even with a 20% coupon, but for today's price it's worthwhile. I actually had already accumulated a few sets of 3/8 impact sockets in anticipation of someday getting a 3/8 impact, so now I'm GTG.

I already have the 1/2" impact and the 3/8" air ratchet, but I'm gonna head over there tomorrow and see if they have any in stock. They are on sale, so that +20% coupon makes a great price for a spare

I believe i asked this question before and dont recall getting a Answer. Are there Rebuild kits availabe for these Air tools? I remember someone posting a breakdown of the product but couldnt order the necessary parts when push came to shove. Curious if anything has changed? Or is everyone just buying these account they are so cheap and if the fail.. Oh well.?

I believe the impacts are clones of the IR impacts, maybe the IR rebuild kits will do

The earthquake line is made by one or more OEM companies. I showed on the the 3/8 Impact thread of a few companies that buy from the same OEM for the 1/4 as well as the 3/8 ratchet. One of which is Cornwell.....

As for the 1/2 inch impact. I think it is Florida Pneumatic by looking at it and the Parts Diagram but not 100%....

I've used the 1/2" and the 3/4" Earthquakes in a commercial application. They're well worth the money.

Thats the problem with harbor freight...they change vendors all the time. No consistency what so ever.

Uh, that's the problem with reality, things change. Craftsman was once made in Japan and made in USA, and now more and more made in Taiwan and China. The world changes, that's life. The question to ask is, "is the change a good one or not?"

Harbor freight changes vendors like most people change their underwear. Craftsman, Mac, Matco, etc...change once in a while. When i take a tool back to Sears i at least have an idea of what i might be getting. At harbor freight, i never even know if they still make that tool.

According to Ken Simon (HFT employee), he stated on HFT's facebook page that all the Earthquake products are being discontinued.

I went to check this out, and it says that they're replacing them with something "improved."

i picked up the 1/2" impact today and bought the 2year warranty with it for $9.99.

Not sure how that warranty is going to work with it being discontinued. I hope the store manager will give you the updated model if yours craps out.

I picked up a 1/2 and a 3/8 today and got a 2 year extended warranty, what they do is give you back your money on a gift card. That's what the manager said.

Well, we went yesterday and bought a spare for $58 out the door... A great impact, especially for the price.

No it ***** for me in a way, I am
75.6 miles, 1 hour 41 mins away.
I can make it quicker than that but it's still a bit of a haul.
