If you are logged, click the "my profile" link up near the upper left corner where it shows you login name. Inside your profile you should see where your CC membership is associated with the account. Also, when you place something from a CC sale in your cart it should show the CC discount itemized out. *Should* being the operative word there as I found out . I did see the discount there as expected but the amount just wasn't correct per the flyer.

Same here. Called Hires and their first explanation was that Amazon screwed it up and it was a KD ratchet. That was after confirming they had 5 more in stock. Next excuse was that number was supposed to be some brake part. They thought that just canceling the order without explanation was great customer service! Chewed em out! BTW, took forever to get a person on the line.

Yep great customer service i keep a running list of companys that do this kind of thing to me and other people i know one guess who just got added to the list. No more purchases from Hires Automotive.

Sears has a deal right now where if you buy an air compressor you get 25% off an air tool or Compressor accessory. This worked out well for me. I bought a 5 gallon air tank for $28.49 (http://www.craftsman.com:80/shc/s/p...yword=air+tank&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=L1) and then added one of the cheap 1/2" air impacts on sale for $17.99 (http://www.craftsman.com:80/shc/s/p...word=impact&prdNo=28&blockNo=28&blockType=L28) and then got the additional 25% off on the impact, which brought it down to $13.49. A cheap impact for a cheap price, and an air tank I needed.

BTW, I bought a bunch of other stuff at the same time and got good discounts on it all, including using the SEARS2011 $5 off $50 code. Good haul for a nice price, and all stuff I needed, and paid for by father's day gift cards.

How did you find out there's a deal and how do you get the deal? So the 5gal tank qualified as an "air compressor" for the purposes of the deal?

Just put it in the shopping cart and you'll see the discount. Apparently they are counting the air tank as a "compressor"...for now. I saw this in store the other week...wish I knew and air tank qualified...would have saved more on the hose reel than the tank would have added to the bill.
