my dog got ahold of my welder and im in the process of rebuilding it (yes we have the technology), im about done but my problem is the power cord. i have a three prong cord coming out the back that he chewed in half so i am going to either crimp or solder another new cord onto the existing good, non chewed, cord coming from the welder itself...but with the three prong (110v) setup how should i wire the new one to the old one, i know green is the ground...but what about the white and black, i've stripped a little coating off of the actual power wire coming from the welder and they dont have a white or black but only green. Does it matter what route i go with what wire goes to what as long as green is to green? PLease help guys and i appreciate it
