Actually one thing has come to me that I would really like; the Motive Products brake bleeder. I am strongly considering making mine though as the cost can easily be beat and I think one can easily be built.

1) Long Pattern metric combination wrenches (probably Craftsman Pro)

2) Wobble socket extensions

3) Ryobi 18v spiral saw

4) Craftsman spark plug socket set

5) offset handle ratchets (don't know what brand yet)

You will like the Craftsman Pro wrenches. I have a lot of wrenches by many makers and the Craftsman Pro are right up there with the rest of them.

At the risk of being flamed: I have an offset handle flex Craftsman full polish ratchet. No complaints - does everything i tell it to and not ratcheting issues.

I have a brake bleeder set I no longer need.

In reality:

3) Fuel line disconnect tool (can you tell that I need to change my fuel filter?)

4) 1/2" drive, 6-point deep metric sockets (SK is preferred)

5) Craftsman Pro long reach needle nose pliers - once there is a shipping deal at Sears.com! (anyone have experience with these?)

Once you use these, you won't know how you ever lived without them!

Get the Meyhew with memory cable that stays in bent position.
That is one great tool; got me out of many tight situations at firewall hoses...

Yeah, but it triples the size of the cable so, you lose a little in weaving it though the engine compartment capability. It also has a ratcheting lock instead of the single hook.

Well, when my current Craftsman one dies, I know what I'll be replacing it with....

My list. All/mostly big stuff, which ***** because it means that it takes forever to see any progress.

1/2: (they trade places all the time) air compressor, small MIG setup- turning over both in my head, can't decide what to do first. I'll probably snap one day and rush out and buy both.
3: Quiklift or other non-hydraulic/ lowbuck get-the-car-in-the-air-a-couple-feet solution
4: dado set for my table saw
5: router and some bits, maybe even a router table

:lol_hitti

Ha! Saw this thread with a star by it, figured I'd go see what I wanted last time I posted in it, almost a year ago.

I'm one for five. Got a great compressor that I love, but haven't used it to its potential yet. Other notable purchases/acquisitions of the last year: Finish nailer, dad gave me his cordless framing nailer, and I bought a chainsaw. Whee, lumberjackin' time.

I have had -0- time to work on the project car, working instead on the project house and raising the project infant-and-toddler duo. I (somewhat sadly...) foresee a lot more woodworking/home-maintenance than mechanic-ing for me over the next several years. So I still need a router and the dado set would be cool.

My updated top-5 list for this year:
1) I need an extension ladder, my gutters need cleaning.
2/3) Impact wrench/sockets for continuing to take apart my old car and lawnmower blade sharpening
4) A new lawnmower, speaking of. My old Murray rider is finally broken more than it's working.
5) Air hose reel in the carport/planned garage.

HF impact sockets do the job plenty well. IR 231 impact gun will work nicely. As for a new mower, if you want a really great tractor that'll run forever, see if you can find an old Case/Ingersoll or Craigslist.

Just picked up two from my wish list, a metal bandsaw and a 1 1/4 brad nailer. Picking up a bigger nailer next weekend. Typically when I see tools on sale I just go ahead and pick them up, provided I have the money too.

All I can say is that I'm damn lucky I don't have an S-O dealer living next door; cause if I did, I would've already been through lock smithing school.

But with a thought towards safely securing his loot, SO dealer would probably pen up his Doberman inside the truck to give you a friendly welcome.....:lol_hitti

Well the tools dealers here close to Detroit store the trucks in a warehouse. Even overnight. Merkava would have a mission impossible.
