Those things scare me hanging down like that..too many moving parts!! I dont think there a good Idea.
Drain plugs are threaded, a bit of complexity there.
I have had several vehicles with fumoto valves including some trucks that were heavily offroaded. Never had one spill a drop of oil when they weren't supposed to.
I allways got the version with the extended ****** so I could put a hose on it.
It is way more likely that you will strip out the stock oil pan or drain plug, than you will have trouble with the fumoto valve.
On my daily driver audi I use a Pella oil extractor. Even easier than the Fumoto valve. Put the drain tube in place of the dipstick. Pump if a few times, go get a beer, come back and the oil is all drained.
This all goes out the window if your working on other peoples cars.
