Needing a new set of metric stubby wrenches & would like to keep it under $100
I would like a polished set(cuz thur purdy! ) anyway, this is what has led me to narrow it down to Williams, SK or Blawkhawk. All are available @ the local parts house, polished & in the price I want to pay.

So what do you say, which ones?

Nothing is wrong with the C-man set. I've just been trading at the parts house/machine shop store a long time & they always treat me well. Plus 90% of my wrenches are SK or Williams anyway so I'd like to stay with the same brand. I have 2 old Blackhawk(USA Made) ratchets that I love, but have never used a Blackhawk wrench so I thought I may try them.

I don't care for the SK wrenches. They're real fat or bulky by the box end. Unless you can find a killer deal somewhere else, I would go for the full polish Craftsman stubby sets.

My choice would be the Williams for sure, but you can only warranty them through the industrial store you bought them from, or send them to Williams.

In that case I would choose the Williams. Just why the hell would you ever need to warranty of of those?????

About warranties, Why does everyone get so concerned about warranty on a set of wrenches??????? When was the last time that you broke or destroyed a wrench that you were not abusing? That I can recall, I have had one case of a wrench breaking, it was a 12 pt. 9/16" box end of a Craftsman combination wrench, and the end shattered with little torque. This was in the early '70's and the wrench was a WWII production version with no chrome on it, that my dad had bought new some thirty years earlier.

Sears did give us a new one after we got the tool department manager involved, the clerk didn't understand why it didn't look like the ones they were selling at the time, and with no chrome.

Beyond this one instance, I have never, at work, or at home, broken a wrench (nor a socket for that matter). I work on airliners for a living, and piddle with cars, trucks, and tractors or whatever comes along, at home, so I do use tools alot.

I'm usually NOT too concerned about warranties on most tools, mainly sockets & ratchets. My biggest concern over all is just plain wearing the tool out from use. I have had to warranty various 12pt sockets and a couple 12pt box end wrenches for this reason. If I break a tool due to misuse, I'm the kinda guy that feels guilty about trying to get a free replacement & will just buy a new one.

my snap on guy will warranty my impact swivel if it are hard to swivel but i just dont do it because it need wear it out then it will doing normal... i will not have tools replacement because of wear or too loose... i just wear it until it is broke...

i am hate Ford's design for starter motor! but good thing is i dont break any tools...[/QUOTE
I fricking hate the starter as well, I have a 90 F150 and know all to well.

Ha ha :lol_hitti... i wont buy Ford because i am doing some heavy line for FOrd dealership... so i am rather to buy vehicle that are easy to repair like Jeep Wrangler or Other Chrysler vehicle like Dakota with V6 because my brother and his wife own 1998 Dakota when he bought it last year with engine that had 174,000 miles. i did major service like tune up, coolant flush, engine oil changes, transmission service, and else. it still run good and no problem even i did pull whole dash out to replacement blower motor because it won't work while it already got new blower resistor by former owner...

i am enjoying to work for chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep dealerships most of them are simple and easy than what Ford did... But remember that i am willing to work both to make living...

I had to do that about 2 months ago,,,what a P.I.T.A.!

on Dakota? it is easy if take easy and calm down... but i hate the former owner that did put extra wires and it is nothing for... it got me upset to can't find where it supposed to be... my dealership got many Grand Cherokee that Bled door broke itself and it require 8 hours of labors to replace it... master tech of mine did for less four hours... damn!

mine was on a 2003 Grand Cherokee. Labor was about 7.5 hrs. for the blower motor and heater core. Taking it apart was easy,,,,putting it back together correctly was the not so fun part.
