Don't know how good of a deal this is but you get a Freeman Pinner/Brad Nailer Kit for about $40 shipped.

Tried to add to cart...price changed to $55??

I get 54.99 on the item page also

Not for nothing guy's, but I get 1000 7" Black med/heavy ties for $15 at the flea market.

Kind of fail to see where the bargain is on the ones posted.

I hate "cheap" zip ties. Bought some at Walmart before in a bind and they don't hold up the best.

Anyone have any experience with the ones from Amazon?

$29.99 @ Sears for the next 8 hours = Deal of the day

Thank you. I have a bunch of crown moulding and other trim work to do at mom's place soon. Was considering a 23ga pinner but didn't want to spend $100.

When I click on the buy it button it takes me to a page that is $54.99

Gary

Continue through the check-out process. The price will drop and you pay tax/shipping.

Where are these normally located in the store?

Near paint.

Home Depot is now selling the Ridgid x4 line of cordless power tools. They seem pretty awesome and for a limited time you can get a free battery ($100 value) with a purchase of one of their power tools. Personally, I'd be interested in getting the Hammer drill kit (their most powerful cordless drill) which includes 2 batteries and a charger + one extra battery for free, for a limited time. So basically you'd get a third battery free. The price is $279.99 and if you have a coupon that would bring it lower. If you don't need the third battery you could sell it and that would bring your total cost down quite a bit :) Here it is...

Gah! It's so frustrating that you can only find those 12 packs south of the Mason-Dixon Line!

I could use some feedback. I got tired of having to create a new search each time I wanted to find a deeply discounted tool on Amazon. So.... I spent all night coding a quick and dirty search form.

I embedded the search form via a new Amazon coupons & deals page on my blog.

The search is set so that only tools & related home improvement items eligible for free super saver shipping can be included in the search results.

I couldn't think of how many discount options to include, so there are only a few.

What do you guys think, useful or not? I'm exhausted, but will work on another one tomorrow, but with the brands and tool types I search for most often.

I'd appreciate any suggestions about how to improve the search or make it more useful.

Edit: I put up a quick search as well.

Please let me know if there are any bugs or unexpected results!

I for one thank you for the effort. I have tried to use Amazons' default (pick a category, enter 10% off, 20% off, etc) and it is usually hit or miss if it actually works.

As for the one you made, I punched in a maker (Dewalt) and then tried the various percentages. I would imagine it is Amazons' screwed up "discounting" pattern again, but if you actually look at the prices of say the 70% search, they are really not 70%, more like 50-60%. :headscrat Again, I would venture to say that is Amazons' flawed system, not your search parameters.

I think the "commonly searched" version is a really cool way to do a search in a minute or two, instead of having to manually type it all in on their site.

Good job.

ETA: OK, Went thru the quick search version again and have come to the conclusion that Amazons' "discount" search is SERIOUSLY flawed. Pick any brand from the list, use 70, 80, 90% and watch the results. Freakin' hilarious.

Example: http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/?ur...p_8=90-&tag=toolsearch-20&index=tools&p_76=1-

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001NQQCM/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I didn't realize that 90% off of $40.38 is $29.88!! Must be that "new" math.

Pretty cool Stuey, i'll definitely keep that book marked to save me some time! I usually do the same little steps for hunting down deals every now and then. I tried a few keywords I usually use and it works as designed - but as robert said, its just amazons percent off throwing things off, not you.

So no major problems yet? Woo-hoo!

As far as the screwy inaccurate %-offs, it looks like I have properly filtered only items eligible for free super saver or prime shipping, but the search can include such items that are also available via 3rd party sellers.

For example, a saw blade is priced at $10, Amazon has it at $8, but if a 3rd party seller has it at $2 + shipping, then it will come up under an 80%-off search.

I think I can also whip one up to include the industrial tools category now that I know what I'm doing, but most of the applicable items will come up with tools.

+1000 - great tool and thanks for taking the time to code it. i think the biggest possible addition would be a way to have it auto-search 1x a day and send results via email. that would then entail either tying into GJ's account system or creating/maintaining some other login system.

but i love it as is and i think the only easy thing i would say is add mfr's to the quick tool sale search box (milwaukee, porter cable, delta, vim, sunex, gray pneumatic, etc).

but again - thanks for taking the time to put it together, very neat!

Stuey,
Thanks! It works great! For example there is a set of four Irwin adjustable cushion grip wrenches for $16.99 I found! Only two available. I don't mind if they read in metric.

At the top it says

Your search "Wera" did not match any products in: Tools & Home Improvement › Free Super Saver Shipping › 90% off or more

You're very welcome!

I can look into it, but logins and personalized pages will greatly complicate things. I can't add too many different brands to the quick search or it will get unwieldy quick. If there's enough demand, I can look into creating a large list of separate single-brand quick searches.

One thing you might want to do is run a few searches and bookmark the results pages, as a tabbed group if your browser supports it. You can then fire them off whenever you want and add new ones as needed or wanted.

thanks a lot il definitely use that, as for amazon though I wish they would fix some of their stuff---look I can get this for 98 percent off

That's not even a case of a few added zeros! Weird.

Posted a few new Amazon tool deals via the blog.

Also, did you guys know that Home Depot now has in-store pickup for some online purchases? I was putting up a small $5 off $50 ad that landed in my inbox this morning and when I went to see where the free-shipping button went I saw a small ad for their new in-store pickup option. This is new, right? Or have I simply been oblivious to it?

The instore pickup is new. I would say it popped up within the last month or so.

RESELLERRATINGS should be a $10 off $50 coupon for HD online. I used it last week without issue, not sure if it still works though.
