So, I don't know these fellas in the least but saw it as an opportunity for someone. Wired Magazine joined forces with Pennzoil and they are giving away a Garage Makeover. ...

uh..... don't u realize the more people see this, the more entrants there will be, and the less your chance of winning is?
Quick, someone delete this thread!
Wonder if they'll take a Canadian garage.....
I submitted my garage, it could use a makeover.
Hmmm,
Somehow , I don't think they would build me a whole new garage.

zman , I'm impressed.
Not one single tire being used to hold the roof down !
Actually , it looks like you have some real potential there.
What was the original purpose of that building ? It looks like its divided into rooms on the one side.
I submitted my garage. AND I WON!!!!! WOOOO!!! HOOOO!!!

Hey GJ,
Thanks for posting the link.I submitted my garage. AND I WON!!!!! WOOOO!!! HOOOO!!!

BTW, The prior post about the value of the prize and the taxes was incorrect!!! The total value of the prize including parts($3,500), oil ($1,000) and the make over ($5,000) is $9,500. So I will have to pay taxes on $9,500. But since I was planning on finishing off the garage myself anyway, I would have spent that or more in after-tax dollars. Anyway you add it up, it is less than paying/doing it your self. Rest assured I will consult my tax consultant before signing on the dotted line.
is this a personal garage? who needs $1k worth of oil? not trying to boo this or anything. i honestly didn't take the time to go to the site.
congratulations on your win! keep us posted on your make over.
The garage is 30x50. It is larger than the house we moved out of!!! Plus it is on 6.5 acres with a little dirt bike/quad track out back.
Synthetic oil has a pretty good shelf life. I have a feeling I will only get what I use. But I would rather think positive than be a hater.
