Big Rebate Deal

All Craftsman garage door openers are on sale with double-bonus rebates. Limit one rebate per household, now thru October 29th and valid in-store only, Sears instant in-store rebate will double your money off regular price for any Craftsman garage door opener, plus 10% extra. That makes most of their garage door openers around $100 this weekend, including the new ones with AssureLink iPhone and Android remote security, and battery backup models around $150. Offer is not valid online.

Be careful. It's been reported that CM garage door openers use plastic drive gears that fail after a couple years.

Yes. If you buy this one, you'll pay $230 and get a $126 gift card right at the counter, if I've read it correctly, making your net out the door $104 plus tax. This battery model, you'll pay $330 and get a $168 gift card, net $162 plus tax. Same story for the rest.

I saw it on Craftsman.com, but the details are right on the door openers' product pages on Sears.com.

odd I don't see anything about the deal. I must be blind. So you don't really get discount until you buy something else or can you use the gift card to buy the opener?

This is all the info I could find online. Makes no sense to me. Pay regular price and get a rebate back for 100% of the money thats over the sale price. It says 100%, not double the difference. If its a 100%, your only getting the reg. sale price. ??? If its 100% like it states, there is no deal here, but if its double (which I can't find anywhere) it would be a great deal.

BUY ANY GARAGE DOOR OPENERS AT REGULAR PRICE.AND RECEIVE AN INSTANT SEARS GIFT CARD FOR 100% OF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REGULAR AND THE CURRENT SALE PRICE, PLUSAN ADDITIONAL 10% UP LIFT.OFFER VALID FOR IN-STORE PURCHASES ONLY.OFFER NOT VALID FOR ONLINE TRANSACTIONSAT SEARS.COM OR K-MART; OR OUTLET STORES

The way I read that is if you get a gift card you get 110% of the discount but you have to pay full price.

Just came back from the store. Really not a slick deal so I passed. If I was able to buy the $130 model for about $100 bucks I would have went for it but I asked the sales guy to check the prices and any rebates associated with the openers and the price came up the same 130.

Getting a Sears gift card for the difference after paying for it the full price would make it worse since I don't really shop at Sears that much.

I stopped by a Sears Hardware after the morning car show to pick up the import cobalt drill bits I posted earlier, they confirmed the double bonus rebate for garage door openers. I was happy to see they added Hillman hardware to their product assortment, seems like a good move carrying real hardware.

Any deals out there for the Milton V style fittings? Amazon and Northern Tool are about the same when figuring in shipping.

I originally ordered from Northern because there were no deals to be had. Then when I was ordering Racor wall mounted spray can racks from wayfair.com mentioned from another thread here, i noticed they also carry them. I got a few more V fittings to bump my order to free shipping - $75 total i think? (Shipping is what kills the deal on Northern/Amazon).

http://www.wayfair.com/keyword.php?keyword=milton+v&ust=&dept=0&command=dosearch

But...they appear to be out of stock now for the male plugs though. :lol_hitti

Thats about the best 'deal' I could find for the V fittings.

Yes unfortunately this deal has been around for a few weeks. I managed to find one but it took several store searches.

I recently stumbled upon it last night and I got lucky. I went to first store and they had it for $159. Didn't feel like price matching.

Second store I went to they had a display with no charger and batteries for $159. Went back to the first store and pricematched only half price not the $35.

I was hoping to get like 5 of them at $35 and give them away.

Definitely the cheapest shipped and nice that it's prime eligable, but don't trust the crossed out list price, there are several vendors on amazon alone who sell it for < $10 shipped. Next closest is $8.50 shipped (to my location anyway). So, IMO, good deal if you need one, but not crazy good such that you need to stock up on it immediately even if you don't need it.

In regards to the Porter Cable deal...

Wow, that dude just got some serious cash into his paypal account... just under $45 thousand dollars! Even if only 10% of that is actual profit its still a nice chunk of change
