Yeah, Seek Gear, is who I ordered through, guess I'll be getting my notice.
When did you order?

I ordered right when the deal came on the board. I looked through some of their other knives, and this is the one I really wanted! It would have been the deal of deals.

1 "Spyderco Temperence 2 Canvas Micarta Plain Edge Knife"
Sports; $29.34

hows $23 shipped sound? I finally got my shipping notice today also. Its not until dec 22, so im getting one too unless ups screws me, which is still a possibility especially that close to xmas.

Big thanks to the op that scored us that deal.

Fyi for everyone, this item was sold through amazon and i actually tried ordering an extra one for a buddy. They cancelled the second item once the pricing error was realized, but was still willing to honor 1 at $23. Amazon deserves acknowledgment for their excellent customer service:beer:

fml. How did i over look that =(

Amazon and the seller both sent one.

Me too. Found this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004Y5RMM6/?tag=atomicindus08-20

for $20 + $7 shipping.

Got the cancellation notice today, too.

Dear Customer,

We just launched 1 day ago on Amazon. We just found out that there was an error posting our products on Amazon and the prices listed were incorrect and horribly low, many below our wholesale price.

We need to cancel your order. You have not been charged. The stores on Amazon do not get access to your credit card info. Our store is closed until we fix this problem.

We apologize for the mishap and hope to be able to service you in the future.

Thank you for your understanding.

wow what a deal picked it up and hauled it home; 5 burners; rotisserie burner; lights got the last one in my area guy just before me got the other one

Found one of these at my local Lowes. All other Lowes had this for 499. Went to the store after I called to make sure it was there and found it on the shelt for a sale of $369, had the guy scan it, came up $124.75. What a sweet grill for the price.

The guy wanted to know how I found out about it. I told him I had a source. Thanks for the HOT DEAL! :pimpflash:thumbup:

I just bought one of those five piece Felo wood handle screwdriver sets on Amazon for $19.00/free shipping.

Not bad, but I'm afraid that the day of the uber-deals on German tools on Amazon are gone.

SOB's. I found the grill locally several of them actually and none of the stores will honor the $65 price my closest store shows. They wont even work with me on the price (theirs is listed at $500). Oh well I ll keep my eye on them, and see what happens when the snow starts to fly

What about buying it at one store and returning it to your local store, then rebuying it at the $65?

I'm new to this forum and probably wouldn't have registered if not for the fact that I, too purchased items from Seek Gear and received a cancelation notice from both Seek Gear Customer service and Amazon. I spoke with an attorney friend who verified that once you make the purchase, Seek Gear is obligated by law to fulfill their side of the contract. I've sent an e-mail to Seek Gear through Amazon asking for their legal authority in canceling my order. Waiting for their response. If I get a response, I will gladly post it.

In the meantime, does anyone have Seek Gears address and/or contact information. I've been unable to locate their business information on Amazon or the web.
Thanks in advance.

If you are honestly thinking about pursuing this legally, you probably wont fit in very well in this forum.

Lame.

No, they're not. The "purchase contract" with you/Amazon/Seek Gears specifically excludes pricing errors, quantity issues, etc... a contract you agreed to when you signed up to make the purchase, whether you read it or not. The only relief is for "false advertising" which a mistake doesn't typically qualify for.

There's also a fine line between what you can effectively enforce, and what you can't, without regard to the actual black/white/gray of the law.

My two cents...

It's generally a myth that retailers must honor a posted price if it's simply a mistake, although some stores might do so as a matter of policy or on a case-by-case basis. An online retailer's fine print may relieve it of the duty to fulfill orders based on pricing errors. Almost all websites have a terms of service and it's frequently not all that easy to find. Most websites have this information listed under their terms of service. Many, if not all of us are agreeing to all kinds of fine print just by using the site or placing an order.

Example From Lowes.com:

http://www.lowes.com/cd_Terms+and+Conditions+of+Use_360300527_

Acceptance of Orders

Receiving an order acknowledgement via email doesn’t guarantee the acceptance of an order. Lowes.com reserves the right to limit the quantity of items ordered and / or refuse to sell to any customer.

I'd like to talk to an actual person who would take all the time out of their day to find a lawyer and sue for a roughly $40 store typo.

For some reason, I have a sneaking suspicion that when the rubber met the road, they would figure out they could earn that cash in a fraction of a time at a job.

I could be wrong. Come to think of it, I'm sure someone could pull a counter example. Its just that it seems so ridiculous that my brain tells me that it can't be real.

Wow. Can't make an honest mistake these days without getting sued eh?

As others have said, give me a f$ckin' break. If you have nothing better to do with your time than TRY and sue for $40, you need to get a life.

Again, as others have said, you will not fit in on these boards. Go find another place to whine and don't let the door hit you in the azz on the way out.

Yeah, they seem to be made pretty nice too. And for $10.00 like you said.
I picked up a set of each for the house. (The 6-Piece Kobalt Combo Wrench Set's stubby's)
I still have the Gearwrench stubby s, metric and SAE ,at work.
I was just at Lowes, and they had the Kobalt 40 piece 3/8ths socket sets for $24.99. I picked up a set to throw in the truck box, they seem fairly descent for that price. Oh and the 40 pieces isnt taken up by allen keys and screwdriver bits like the sears sets. Its all sockets, one extention, and a ratchet.

They did have the Kobalt 40 piece 3/8ths socket set for Priced at $24.99 , but were out of it.
Usually my Lowes don't have a lot of the discounts talked about here, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Anyone know are the tool boxes going to be on sale for Black Friday?
I want to get a little middle 3 or 4 drawer box.
The cheap black 3 drawer one is only $40.00, but a nicer one on sale would be better.

Lowes Black Friday Deals (info via TG)

Put this together from their FaceBook preview. Normally I would expect for the ad scans to have been leaked by now, but nope. It is our experience that it is best to beat the Black Friday rush and to order special sale items online for delivery or free in-store pickup when available.

OK so how does that work.Say the store is showing 75 of a certain Item, and it is available for on line purchase and In store pick up.
If you get your order in, say at 12:01 AM Black Friday, will they be sure to hold one for you at "your" store?

Wiha has their black microfinish extra heavy duty screwdrivers half off on their website:

http://www.wihatools.com/500seri/533serie.htm

Looks like they are getting rid of the black microfinish for the red. These have hex shank and bolsters along with a striking cap. I just bought me a whole set. Quantities limited!:bounce:

I'm not sure that Lowes is open at 12:01 AM. The inventory system may not be in real-time, but it should be relatively accurate in that it won't let 100 people buy an item they only have 10 of. Stores should receive order notifications in the morning at which time you should be able to pick up the item within the first 20 minutes of the store's opening as per Lowe's 20-min. policy policy.

These aren't door-busters. Door-busters sell out in the first 5-10 minutes. Some items sell out in the first couple of hours.

But items like those that I posted and discussed are unlikely to sell out quickly. Well, maybe the $30 Shop Vac might. The others should be present in ample supply.

These items should also be available for shipping, but who wants to pay shipping when they're available for free in-store pickup?

In-store pickup won't help with door-buster deals. But it will help for those times when you check online, see there are a couple left of an item in-store, and head to the store only to find that someone *just* bought the last one.

Order the item online is not a guarantee either, though.

I remember shopping via Lowes.com last year and the year before. The weekend sale starts on Thanksgiving morning and lasts the weekend. But a lot of the items, such as the Maglite LED flashlights, sell out online very quickly.

Stores will seek to discourage ordering for home delivery. They want you to step foot inside the stores where you may potentially be enticed to buy more. Because of this they might make greater numbers of products available for in-store pickup. That way the consumer gets the deal and the store gets the consumer inside the store if even just to pickup their item.

But for door-busters, forget it, if you're not at the store when it opens, you're probably not going to get the item no matter what. These items are usually not available for online purchase at all.

Wait, I digressed a bit didn't I? Sorry. I'm not sure if items are made available for delivery regionally or nationwide. But let's say one particular store has 75 items in-stock that are listed for purchase online. Every time an item is purchased, the quantity should adjust automatically. When all 75 are spoken for, the item should not be available for in-store pickup anymore. When the store opens, or just before, employees have an update about online orders and grab the items off the shelves to hold at customer service for pickup. If they cannot find the item or run out due to an inventory error, they're supposed to call the customer within 20 minutes.

What can be done is that stores should be able to reserve a certain number of products strictly for in-store purchase. I know that free open-source online store and inventory tracking software can do this, so the backend of Lowes and Home Depot should be able to do it as well. e.g. HomeDepot.com reported that there were 23 Leatherman Wingman available at the stores in my area. Once the displays went out, you could see that there were 32 products in each display. 23 were available for in-store pickup, 9 were reserved for in-store purchase.

If Lowes has a similar reserved stock protocol in place, which they should, even if the inventory tracking is not real-time and lets a few extra orders through, they should have the extra stock to fulfill those orders.

Sears is having some sort of sale on their 19.2 Impact wrenches. 101 for tool and 2Ni-Cd batteries, 90 for the bare tool (????), or 85 for the tool and one battery and charger

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_1...&redirectType=CAT_REC_PRED&prop17=19.2 impact

Has anyone seen the bare tool or kit for any cheaper? I dont need the batteries or another charger and would prefer the bare tool, but this seems like a great deal.

They always have deals on Williams tools, also bahco and CDI but they have the crazy low prices on usa tools, I order from them before and they have a great trusting reputation! I am not affiliated but would hate to see them disappear in this economy cause they have great prices...

Have not seen it any lower, got one few weeks back for $109 shipped with two batteries and a charger you can never have too many batteries or chargers. the tool is very nice for the money love the little led lights the shine right on what you are working on.
also chase has 10% back through there online rewards mall at sears and plastic jungle (a gift card selling web site) has sear e-gift cards for 9% off but you can't stack the two.

Are these hard handle or cushion/no slip ?

I've been looking for a set of screw drivers with a thru handle bolster and these look like they will work.

Sherwin Williams has paint 40% off through Monday. Time to grab some super paint!

Also 30% off accessories like brushes, rollers / covers, tape, etc.

I caught this same sale about 6 weeks ago when we were ready to buy paint for the nursery walls and cabinets. Had to go back yesterday for another quart of wall paint and tape for the stripes.
