I have been wanting to do something like that. What did you use as the bowl?

I had access to a plasma cutter while I was taking an intro to welding class at the community college. I spent the last day of class doing the cutting for this fire pit. I still need to do some grinding, but it turned out OK for my first project.

My wife and I had seen these for sale before, but I was able to do it for way less. Even if it isn't quite as nice as the original, at least I can say that I did it.

(the gravel area will eventually be a brick patio, when I can find a good deal on some brick pavers)

Holy ****!!! I love everything about your house. I wish my wife let me decorate like that.

Ditto that!! although my wife does dig a certain amount of functional rod inspired art.. i just have to keep it to a minimum. Thankfully she's an artist too - but likes her decor a little less awesome..

Privacy Screen plasma'd out of sheet around a hot tub. Same project I built 2 gates. One was a walk gate and the second was a drive gate.

This stuff looks cool  Where can you get this? I'm thinking like for the fronts of cabinets and on the wall behind the grinder and around the welder.

Its pretty easy to make even with a cheap brake if you are using aluminum.

This is as artsy as this old fartsy is capable of. I had a little downtime on my hands so I took the opportunity to build this sign, officially naming the shop.

It will be mounted here:

While working on my dining room table I actually remembered to take a few pictures of what I was doing. I'm neither artsy nor fartsy but I do like this picture.

I love restoring toy coaster wagons...
Using a homemade wood sandblasting cabinet with a hand held blast gun, sandpaper, filler putty, shaker paint cans, and model paint and brushes, I putz, as the wife calls it....LOL!

I call my artsy fartsy collection:

Now you need one of these!.....
