Gearwrench 3/8 stubby ratchet
$15 shipped
11 left at posting
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390340966761?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Not a bad price, IIRC they are normally about $25

The head on these are about the same size as the normal 3/8 ratchet with a smaller handle, But I needed a stubby for the house and was having a hard time shelling out another $75 for a ratchet at the house

Cripe also has the 3/8" Gearwrench 60 tooth ratchet for $14 and the 1/2" for $16. I just got the 3/8" in the mail today.

Looks like Cripe also has a Napa flex one stamped USA for the same price:

I don't own a stubby ratchet yet...but wouldn't the flex be more useful? And anybody familiar enough with the two ratchets to compare? Is the gearwrench a better mechanism?

Nope, since then I've tried to leave a bunch of comments and they never show up. I thought they needed approval or something...

That's weird. I cleared out the spam the other night, so I can't look too far back for false positives. Comments are auto-approved unless there are more than 2 links, or an IP and possibly email address have been flagged before.

The next time you try to leave a comment, please PM me with the email address you used, and maybe a keyword or two from the comment. Or you can just say something like "This is a test." If that doesn't work, I can open a 5-minute window where the spam filter is disabled, to see if something else is causing the blockage.

None avalable locally so I gambled and ordered them.

$8.50 to ship kind of *****....not free shipping out there, no?

I ordered one a week ago and chose pick up in store. Got a message saying "38-43 days" or something. I don't think I'll be seeing those. i should just order one and eat the shipping...

I don't think they have one to ship. I received my order yesterday that was supposed to contain this set and the large supplement set, but the base set was missing. I called customer service and they could not locate another set (showed zero inventory in the warehouse so I guess I know why I did not receive mine but still not sure why they showed it as shipped and charged me), I had to find one locally and request a refund for the missing set but that is another rant :shocking:

The store I went to showed 3 on the web but only had two on the shelf, made in the USA and stamped Professional- $64.99 sale price in store. This mall store was one of two in the metro ATL area that had any in stock, I think this might be the last of the Made in USA inventory since the replenishment lead time is 1-2 months according to customer service.

I'm just a home shop guy but my old cm stubby flex is my most used ratchet, even though I own some 'higher end' ratchets as well.

I would prefer it to be a finer tooth mechanism, but I put the one handed socket eject and direction change features above the tooth count. I'd go into detail of very recent job where all three features (flex, eject, direction lever) were used but I don't want to get a ticket from chit chat police. :)

I ordered one of the napa flex and one of the gearwrench.

FYI on the grainger ratchet deal. I ordered one for will call pickup/pay at the closest store.

I just called for an update and there was some confusion about the order, and it has been sitting in limbo since the order date of 11/25. I thought I had called the number of the local store but it sounded like I was talking to the main branch with how he was referring to the various branch locations and inventory status.

Anyway, he apologized for the delay and 're-entered the order correctly', then mentioned that there were several other customers ahead of me waiting for delivery of said ratchet to said local store. He then put in a request to transfer some stock from one store to my local store to fulfill the requirements. Said it would be in mid next week.

My point being if I had not called, the order may have sat in limbo forever. So if you cannot access your order status online and especially if you have it will-called, you might want to give them a call.

Saw this one fatwallet. Does the battery work with the c3 impact wrench you guys made me buy the other day? it only came with a nicad and i heard these lit ion ones were better.

C3 works with all C3, thats the concept.

What isn't clear is if there is more than one model of C3 lithium battery, like a short and tall one with different capacity.

Regardless I refuse to bite, I have way too many drills of all types.

I really want the $20 3/8" drive set. I can't decide on the 1/4" or 3/8" as a messing around kit.

i didn't see a 3/8 set there. i probably would have grabbed that if i did. these won't see heavy duty work anyways so 1/4 will most likely be fine. mostly if i buy random things for around the house that need assembling and such. i gotta finish christmas shopping tomorrow so maybe i'll poke around a different lowes and get one if they have it. wouldn't hurt to have both :)
